so goddam true.....way back in college, working at a hotel, we certainly went out of our way to give nice people special favors.....it's so easy to be a decent person....not that we all have to be pollyannas, but it's just the good thing to do......if you do need to voice a concern (complaint), there is a mature/professional way to do it......I've always thought that whining/too loud/angry people complain this way because they have some insecurity they're trying to compensate for

Hillarious...

Darling darlings, this is why I fly Private Jets!

And so does Hillary, all of 20 miles!!

Hillary Clinton is very important, and she can’t be bogged down by pesky things such as boats or waiting.

The presidential candidate, who is endlessly trying to tell factory workers in Ohio and Pennsylvania that she’s one of them, jetted approximately 20 miles from Martha’s Vineyard — where she was last night partying with President Obama — to Nantucket for a fundraiser on Saturday.

Fox News aired footage of her stepping off her plane in the latter.

I got on board adn plopped my carry on into my seat. I eyed the flight attendant: "May I use the lavatory?", and was directed tot he one at the rear of the plane.

About a minute later, urinated and laved, I went back to my seat. Someone had taken my carry on, and their was a woman-of-a-certain-age sitting in the seat next to mine.

"Oh, it was unattended, so I took it up front," she said, looking ever so Holier than me with her Church lady smile.

Ridiculous. If you had left your bag in the overhead she wouldn't have thought it was unattended. Likewise if you had left it under your seat. Also, the flight attendant she brought it to should have brought it back to your seat immediately.

I hope someone can correct me, but wouldn't a helicopter have been easier?

As for Hillary's travel arrangements, I can guess the considerations include cost/travel time/security/timing of the move/inconvenience to those of us without security details. The only one I'd have any heartburn over is inconvenience to others. I remember living in California when George Bushy senior chose to take the freeway instead of a helicopter and delayed trillions of people for billions of hours. He appropriately got such crap publicity as a result he never repeated the mistake and I doubt inconvenience to the common folks has been forgotten ever since.

Hillary's and my lifestyle haven't shared anything in common since her husband started campaigning for President so the trappings of candidate and Presidential travel doesn't bother me. The trappings of Congressman is annoying, including the use of military planes to ferry the Speakers of the House to/from their home cities (something the government claims the military asked for after 911). Nancy P. had that benefit and Paul Ryan (who insisted when he took the job that he go home every weekend) does now.

People who don't like the cost or method of how Trumpler or Hillary travel are welcome not to contribute to their campaigns. I gave the maximum to Obama's two campaigns and have already started sending money to do the same for Hillary. I'm too poor to contribute to PACs, they'd probably send my check back :)

If he were a nice guy he'd have offered you a ride. I suspect he didn't know you were so close :) If my motorcade ever delays you, please call my cell phone and I'll pour another Gin & Tonic while my people put your luggage in the luggage vehicle.

It seems a small thing to get upset about, to be honest.

I was on a flight to Chicago once, wearing a slate grey, wool suit. This woman next to me changed her baby's crap diaper on her lap right next to me. Her baby literally shit on my suit. I tried to clean it off with a paper towel and the paper towel just shredded into my suit and made it more obvious

Now THAT's worth getting upset about ;)

@liubit There actually is more to the story. I had to just live with my suit having a white-ish stain and smelling slightly poo as I was scheduled to go straight from the airport to the meeting in Chicago. Keep in mind I was in my 20's and I think this was my second business trip ever. I walked into this exec's huge corner office, put out my hand to shake his, tripped and fell on one knee. He had a raised marble platform for his desk, which I did not see. I was traveling with my boss and he thought all of it was hilarious - from the baby poo to the tripping.

Fortunately, I had 4 babies myself by that time so I was pretty understanding with the lady on the plane. I even helped her clean up the mess.
