The dreaded ED!!! I'm sure there have been previous threads on this topic, but I'm reviving it on the off chance that new info might be available.

I'm sure many of us clients have ED and perhaps, like me, for you the various pills don't help much, so we try the mechanical devices- rings, pumps, injections, etc with varying degrees of success. God knows there are plenty of products out there that promise relief. I would love a frank, open discussion of what works and what doesn't amongst my brothers here. I honestly admit that mostly, I just don't cum at all. This is partly due to ED and partly due to an increasing lack of sensitivity in my glans. I'm cut, so I understand that a lifetime of constant abrasion of my cockhead is to blame, but is there any lotion, creme or pill that can reverse the loss? Does doubling or tripling the dose of Viagra work? Is that safe? What about Muse? Does it work well enough to make sticking a needle in your dick worthwhile? If a cock ring keeps blood from flowing out, doesn't it also keep blood from flowing in? In front of your balls or behind them? Do the pumps work?

I've tried to discuss this with urologists and gotten nowhere; I can control my urination so I should be happy, they say. Is there a different medical or nonmedical specialist I should be consulting? I am finally out of the closet, having sex with wonderful men, but even a small improvement in my physical pleasure would be so great.

What say you? Anyone? Perhaps you might prefer to PM me, but I think many might be interested n this issue.

Every person is different, but here's my input.

  • Get a better urologist. One who will actually discuss your issues.
  • Pills don't work very well for me. At $40 each, that's annoying.
  • Tri-Mix (injection) works for me but not always. At $20 per injection, at least it's not pill prices. :) sometimes I can top for an hour on Tri-Mix, sometimes it's only good for five minutes.

Have you tried anal orgasm? I find them to be just as satisfying. Despite what you may see in porn and hear on this thread a hard dick isn't required for a good time

Thanks, Chris. I'm aware of the term and a little bit of the sex behind it (pun intended), but have yet to explore it. I will start today. I had a prostate milking experience with Nate of LA that was highly satisfying, so this might be a possibility for me. Is anal orgasm something one can get/share with most escorts?

I don't remember quite why he gave it to me, but my uro gave me a 'script for a generic version of Revatio, the version of sildenafil for pulmonary hypertension (20mg.). Initially, I didn't find it very useful, but then I started stacking 10 mg. of levitra and one Revatio. OMFG - I was 18 again!!! Levitra is good because it feels more natural then viagra or cialis .... you have more sensation. Spiking it with 20 mg of sildenafil gives you Levitra on steroids. Wonderful combination.

I didn't used to tolerate sildenafil very well. The next day it gave me pounding headaches and I felt very sleepy. I also didn't like the erection quality - extremely stiff, kind of painful, reduced sensation. But all that went away, for some reason. I love my blue pills now. Perfectly natural erections, good sensitivity - a wonder drug.

Those silicone cock rings are just great for boosting an erection and helping it last. They are my favorite sex toy.

I played with a guy recently who had a leather thong wrapped tightly around his balls and the base of his dick. He stayed rock-hard.

Tri-mix must work reasonably well - it's becoming a drug of abuse.

It helps if they are skilled with assplay/fisting. Some, with the skill and the right size dick can give you anal orgasms from fucking you.

How did he milk you? By fucking you? Using a finger? If your looking for a consistent orgasm without the need of a hard dick I highly recommend investing in a prostate toy. I think its something you could share with most escorts as long as you tell them how you want to be pleasured.

It was with one or more fingers as well as his cock, and it went on for quite a while and equisitely set me up for the biggest cum shot I'd had in years while he was cumming in my mouth. I'm going to take your advice and work on anal orgasm.

You guys are so wonderful to offer your advice and suggestions. I figure I have a few years of gay sex left after recently coming out and I so much want to make the most of them in spite of my aging body. With you and the who's who of amazing escorts who have taught, nutured, and made love to me, I am determined to overcome BPH and ED (fucking alphabet), and claim the men-loving-men heritage I have been missing all of my life. Thank you!

One more issue and I'm done with this thread......

Is the urologist the proper place to start (supposing he is gay friendly and willing to listen)? OR

Should I be seeking help from a sex clinic?

If the urologist is the right step, I am still seeking a gay one in the Palm Springs/Indio area. I have one name, Dr. John Faulkner in Rancho Mirage, who is at least gay friendly. Any other suggestions?

THANK YOU ONE AND ALL!!!!!

If you want to try Caverject or Tri-mix, a Uro can prescribe either of those for you.

Another option that no one has mentioned is testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). A uro will most likely be willing to test your testosterone level for you and prescribe replacement therapy if you test low. The mainstream has a very narrow view of who is an appropriate candidate for TRT. If your level is even one point above the lower limit of normal, the uro will likely tell you that your level is normal and you don't need TRT - IN SPITE OF your age and your symptoms.

A better type of provider, if you decide to investigate TRT, is an age management doc. A good one knows far more about hormone replacement therapy than even a mainstream endocrinologist. Many age management docs are DOs, who tend to have a more holistic viewpoint than MDs.

Regarding Testosterone.....as a physician who specializes in anti-aging, I frequently use testosterone replacement for my patients with the following caveat: it's great for the libido, muscle, bone, etc. BUT it is not for ED. That being said, if you rev up your libido you may find that the ED decreases or disappears but I would not represent that it is a cure for ED. With regard to levels, total testosterone is a useless measurement other than to indicate a decrease in total T. The better measurement is Free T which is really the end product that does all the work. If your Free T is low it is easy to supplement. Most MD's who do this for a living much prefer daily Testosterone cream(10% or 20%) compared to products such as Androgel (max 6.25%) or injectable 200 mg/ml once a week. I, myself, prefer daily cream.

As RudyNate mentioned, urologists/internists etc. are often difficult when it comes to T replacement therapy and seem to be very cautious in their treatment.

I've been "using" for a few years and at 68 I have a free T level comparable to a 25-30 year old and, as certain people may attest, the activity of the same.

Me too - 10+ years. Doctors prefer the cream, but patients tend to prefer the shots. I do shots.

About six visits to two different urologists and I learn more from you guys in one thread than I did from them. I have an appointment soon with a new doctor recommended here. He's reputed to be gay friendly and has a very high patient satisfaction score. I just want him to give me the time, attention and possible answers that I get here. My sincere thanks to you all. Drinks on me in PS in April!

These days, shots are done differently than they used to be.

Ten years ago, it was common to get a single shot of 200 mg. of testosterone every two weeks, for which you had to go into a doc's office. The interval in between shots was so long that a guy's testosterone level fluctuated wildly between shots. So he alternated between feeling fabulous and feeling like hell.

Now, most guys do their own shots at more frequent intervals. I do a shot of 50 mg of testosterone cypionate twice per week - which completely smooths out the peaks and valleys.

When a uro is good, he's great. I have a good uro and I think he's great.

I can't offer any useful info, but I wanted to say congrats on coming out @glennnn! It sounds like you're really enjoying yourself :) (and anal orgasm would be amazing. I've gotten really close before, I just need to find a top that can last long enough to get me there :p)

Will insurance cover the Testosterone cream? And can you guys recommend a Dr in NYC for Testosterone therapy? I see funguy is on west coast, unfortunately. By PM is fine. Thanks.

If the diagnosis is correctly coded, insurance will probably cover it. Even if you have to pay OOP, compounded testosterone cream doesn't cost much. Shots of testosterone cypionate cost even less than the compounded cream. A vial of testosterone cypionate that will last 3-4 months costs around $100.00. The big expense with TRT, if you're footing the cost yourself, is the labs.

The most expensive way to do TRT is to use one of the big pharma products like Androgel - $200.00 per month OOP.

Thank you for your kind words! I hope you find the Michael Phelps of fucking to get you to that gold medal anal orgasm. I'm assuming that you've tried all the mechanical fucking apparati available?

As an aside to all the closeted guys here. Coming out was terrifying.....and thrilling. And I'm 80% happy with the result. Like so many things in life, I wish I had done it sooner. Good luck to you all on your journey. May you reach your destination safely and soon.
