Best wishes, and, as everyone has advised, get moving as soon after surgery as you can! Hopefully your doc will prescribe PT, but you could also self-refer for PT, or contract for private duty PT yourself.

Ah! Exactly the response I had hoped for :D

there will be more once you are out of surgery and you are ready to get your ass up and about. ;)

That's the best kind of incentive!!

Already take care of. My Personal trainer and my Physical Therapist are good buddies. And my primary cheering section.

I had my second a year ago

very glad I took rehab as an inpatient for three weeks after surgery - doubt the spouse would have put up me at home

the good news - surgeon pretty sure he won't have to do a third knee replacement (hard to surgeons to promise any outcome )

You be back on all fours soon

Surgery is done. Surgeon said "terrible arthritis". Significant pain that responds to pain meds. 30 heel slides on each side 30 leg lifts each side. No foot from!

THANK YOU ALL for your support.

You, sir, get a few treats

Here we go again ... I'm scheduled for a left total knee replacement tomorrow. Any thoughts, prayers, best wishes, or legal advice will be welcome.

The surgery hasn't happened yet, and you're already asking for legal advice? I hope the surgery goes well. Good luck through the recovery process. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OWzv-pSy9BA/U5iMinNKqvI/AAAAAAAAIzI/NDZZ2gOdaIY/s1600/big-hug-smiley.png

A bit of additional advice. DO NOT attempt to tough out the pain -- take your meds. DO NOT wait so long between taking the meds that the pain takes over. Pain can and does most definitely inhibit recovery.

Best of luck and speedy recovery! Remember to get plenty of bed rest.
