I would love to go, but flying into PS is a little bit steep.

 

Is there anyone who might have an extra spot in a car going from either LAX or San Diego? I give a solid shoulder / neck massage to drivers... (and I'm a thin lad so I shouldn't tax someone's gas mileage )

Well, Oliver and I arrived in Palm Springs yesterday (2/1) safe and sound. We had great weather and an extremely enjoyable drive from cold country to warm and sunny Palm Springs. Oliver brought me home to North Orange County this morning. Now that he is securely ensconced in Palm Springs I'm signing off and leaving all further Palm Springs communication to him. Finally, however, let me say that I'm looking forward to an even bigger and better Palm Springs Weekend this year. See you all there!

Wayne and I booked four nights at Canyon Club. Great resort, walking distance from Trio, where I assume we'll be gathering for dinner that Saturday.

I just made a few changes to my Palm Springs travel plans. I decided on Canyon Club rather than Indulge due to the fact that CC is $50 per night cheaper and looks just fine to me. I will be arriving on Friday morning 04/21 and returning Tuesday morning 04/25 due to much lower airfares for those travel dates. Hope to avoid renting a car if I can bum a ride here and there or just call Uber.

I'd been ignoring this thread because I didn't think I'd be able to attend this year. I just found out there's a possibility that I could attend, depending on whether I can attend another out of town event (and use that more legit scenario as cover for an extra two days off of work ). I'm hoping to finalize whether I can go to both by this week or next...I only hope there'll be some reasonable hotels and flights left.

I found a reasonable direct flight out of Chicago but that was a couple of months ago. However, I am sure that you can find something if you don't mind a layover. A couple of years ago I went through Phoenix and the layover really wasn't all that long.
