Please forgive me the few crumbs on the stove. It happens when you cook. I'll clean the stove directly after dinner!! The only thing missing is the Pillsbury Biscuits I'm about to put into the oven. (I didn't time this out well).

Does anyone know if it's bad when the iPhone flips out of your hand into the chicken gravy while taking a picture?

Why am I asking-no particular reason.

Only when you don't have a chance to lick it off before it gunks up the screen

LOOKS YUMMY!

Have you tried the frozen biscuits in a bag? You can make two or twenty.

Delish Gman...you're gonna make someone a good wife one day. It's the fastest way to his heart...At least for me, I'd rather eat than have sex. :D

And unlike boners, the appetite can be relied on almost all the way through life. :)

My old grandma used to say, not without satisfaction, 'Well, I can still sleep and eat!'

I hope you weren't "eating alone" ? It would be ashame NOT to share that beautiful meal....

And have you tried the Red Lobster take-home biscuits ? They enhance any meal....

My tummy be growling. That pasta is screaming for some creamy sauce. I still can't take my eyes off those tomatoes though!

I'm going to have to work on my speed. I think I started prepping at 7:30 and somehow didn't eat until 10:30. It might have been worse. I might have started earlier.

I don't know exactly where the time went. It probably took me about 25 minutes to defrost the chicken in the microwave including 'rest time to let the heat work through the chicken. (I confess it might have taken longer. I had to defrost them in two batches. I got tired of watching the microwave at one point and took a reading break. That may have been my downfall.)

I probably left the defrosted legs out longer than the US Dept of Agriculture recommends while I was defrosting the thighs. But sometimes you have to live dangerously, you know?;)

Then the chicken takes about 50 to 60 minutes to cook.

I didn't start the mushrooms and tomatoes until the chicken was just about done. Then everything was done. But I wanted biscuits, and I had to wait for the oven to heat from 325 for the chicken to 425 for the biscuits. And they took 10 minutes or so to bake.

So I was dining at 10:30.

I accidentally left a jar of jelly out overnight. I just opened it. It said to refrigerate after opening. But look at all those packet of jellies never refrigerated at restaurants. I'm going to live dangerously with that too and refrigerate it now. Any of you smart people out there have any objections?

I don't know about biscuits in a bag. Can you upload a picture or a website where I can see the brand?

Sigh :(!!!

That sounds like a lovely suggestion except I think they are cheese biscuits. I'm not really fond of cheese melted on my bread. Now if there were a Cracker Barrel near me... They have great biscuits. But the nearest one is 100's of miles away.

Looks great. I love to cook but am going on a cleanse and stricter eating plan so I will have to live through everyone else vicariously. It's tough to cook for the kids and not eat any of it, sigh.

You don't know how honored I am. No one ever quivers for me. As for the pasta, it had a mildly creamy sauce. I used the Knorr (formerly Lipton brand) pasta sides. I love most of them. I added the peas to it to get in some green veggies.

But there is always after the cleanse. You can't cleanse forever.

Meh, jelly or jam doesn't need to be refrigerated. Sugar is a preservative, so they don't go off, but some mould may grow on them (that will take some time). Refrigerating them slows that down, hence the instructions to do so. I would just spoon that off (and some of the jelly underneath it) and use them anyway. As for the little packets, they are sealed so no air gets at the jelly, so they're fine.

I got the idea for the tomatoes from this video. I'll admit the larger pearl onions on the stem sure are pretty. But to tell you the truth, I've normally done grape tomatoes because that's all I had the first time I tried this. I think the grape tomatoes work better because they cook a lot faster. These pearl tomatoes took a lot longer, and the mushrooms, while tasting good, were browner than I normally would have liked while waiting for the tomatoes to cook.

I found a jar of jelly at my parents recently. It looked very strange-all cloudy. I figured out it was probably two years old at the least. I currently have some marmalade in the fridge whose sell by date was sometime in 2015. It still looks good and tastes. I'm not throwing it out.

I'm now holding you fully responsible for my ingesting not one, but TWO donut holes. Those things probably went directly to my Latino derrière. Muchas gracias, señor Gmano.

But aren't donut holes calorie free?;)

PS @mike carey I threw my parents' jelly out. I wasn't that brave. ;)

It probably would have been okay, especially for cooking, but I don't blame you. I admit I'm at one extreme, unless it smells off I'll usually keep it, and I ignore use by dates. (Exception, bread, where the mould is usually evidence of fungus through it, not just on the surface.) My sister's partner, on the other hand, will throw things out if there is the slightest smell, overdue date or imperfection.

Cheese biscuits and cheese ON biscuits are 2 entirely diff phenomena. If you haven't tasted the Red Lobster biscuits, you SHOULD.... the cheese is incorporated in the dough and not melted anywhere.

Now, I'm hoping to convince everyone to try my breaded and roasted Brussel Sprouts. Or braised brussel sprouts and dried cranberries in Balsamic reduction.... Side dishes for me are the crowning Glory of a meal, and Brussel sprouts get a bad rap.... But I do also LOVE my stuffing pie.....

I have a problem with meat. Perfectly good meat still smells bad to me. I know I've thrown away good beef or chicken that were totally fine.
