There is a website and an app that has coupons for a lot of prescription medications called GoodRx. If you have good medication benefits with your insurance, then it probably won't help. But for around a year I didn't have very good medication benefits. The out of pocket cost for my blood pressure medication was over $200 dollars a month. Using this website the cost came down to $60 a month. Currently using this website the drug is around $35 per month.

Now how does that apply to Viagra. Well my current insurance doesn't cover Viagra or the other ED drugs. Viagra isn't generic in the USA yet. But there is a generic. Sildenafil is used for another medical condition called pulmonary hypertension. There is a brand name sildenafil used for this called Revatio. The Revatio pills come in a strength of 20 mg. For the last several years there has been a generic Revatio. I've gotten a prescription for this generic. My prescription says Take 4 daily-(well I don't take it daily-only when 'needed':p). So 4 tablets is 80 mg. Now the absorption of these generic sildenafil a might be different from the absorption of Viagra. So you'd have to experiment on the timing to take them.

Using the GoodRx site I was able to buy 60 of the 20 mg sildenafil tablets for about $35 at a Safeway Pharmacy. So that comes to about 58 cents per tablet. Check my math. But doesn't that come out to an equivalent of about $2.90 for a 100 mg Viagra tablet?

I use goodrx every month. Walmart's wins most of the time but not always.

I used to get the sildenafil there. Then all of a sudden still using GoodRx 60 tablets of sildenafil went up to $95 dollars when Safeway was only about $35 ($35.15 to be precise). At Rite-Aid even using GoodRx, 60 of the 20 mg sildenafil tablets cost $967.64:eek: which is interesting as 6 of the 100 mg actual Viagra tablets only costs $311 at Rite-Aid (using GoodRx).

Huge +1 @Gar1eth !

I stumbled across GoodRX by accident and it can identify major savings in prescription drugs.

I think I have pretty decent insurance with negotiated rates, mail order, etc. For grins I put the two drugs I take into the app and the costs it found were well below what I was paying - a fraction of the cost in the case of one.

Further, it listed a dozen retail pharmacys near me and their costs. I was astounded at the difference in cost of a Walgreens, Kroger, Costco and RiteAid within blocks of each other.... hundreds of dollars difference for the exact same generic med.

If you don't have private insurance you can print out/download a coupon from the app - and it's all free.

Excellent post G

Sildenafil is generic Viagra, and is basically $1 per pill for 10 mg. Major pharmacy chains wont admit they carry it, and direct you to Brand... That's what I have been using, and it works. with less morning after side effects.... I get it from a little mom and pop pharmacy in my hood and pay CASH for a 100 pill prescription.

As far as I know, there is neither a legal 10 mg sildenafil tablet nor a 100 mg tablet in the USA. There is a suspension and an injection that comes out to a 10 mg dose. And if there were a 10 mg tablet you are paying about 3-1/2 times as much for it as I am for my 20 mg tablet.

Now that being said-you can find compounding pharmacies to make troches of Viagra that are for under the tongue use that might have different strengths. I think my local compounding pharmacy charges about $3.00 per 100 mg troche.

I'm confused. What is the recommended dosage of sildenafil for ED treatment?

It varies. Viagra comes in 50's and 100's. The compounded troches are often 100 but have scores so you can divide it into 25 mg or 50 mg pieces. The USA generic comes in 20 mg. If you haven't tried it before taking 40 mg or 60 mg might be a reasonable test dose. You should talk it over with your physician or urologist.

G, you are correct, I erred in my original post. I legally was prescribed 20 mg tabs. I take 5 at a time, the equivalent of a 100 mg Viagra. Good catch!

The funny part of it is I'm not a top, and really don't need a hard cock. I basically SUCK their cock, but guys have said they want to SEE that I am enjoying it.... (so I take a pill and Fake the boner, although I really am enjoying it, just my body doesn't naturally respond anymore.!)

It really depends on your physicality, body weight etc. I get hard if I take a 20 mg but it doesn't last as long as when I will take 80 -100 mg.... Also the initial "head-rush" and flush I get is much lighter with a smaller dosage.

I use GoodRx for my 'scripts that aren't covered under my company provided health insurance. I call the pharmacy at Costco, Walgreens and Rite-Aid to get their cost for my non-covered drug and buy from the pharmacy with the lowest price. Currently, Walgreens with GoodRx beats Rite-Aid and Costco, 2 times out of the last 6 fills.

My healthcare provider has a 90 day by mail prescription service. I price shop their asses all the time, then call them asking why their 90 day supply costs more than 3 trips to a local pharmacy. I know they hate me, but they always price match the local pharmacy... One day, we're going to get 180 day fills so they don't have to talk to me as often.

It's illegal, still more expensive that using GoodRx, and you never know what you are getting. Viagra is also probably one of the most faked drugs around.

Some insurance companies like mine will pay for Cialis 5mg daily dose if prescribed by a urologist for an enlarged prostate. Much less side effects than using Flomax and you're ready to rise to the occasion at a moment's notice :) My copay is 85.00 for a 3 month supply.

I'm not saying the site is not legitimate. I'm saying you can't depend on the drug due to fakes being out there and you are trusting a non-FDA approved drug company. You have no idea what their manufacturing standards are.

Also when buying that stuff is illegal, more expensive than what I've shown you here, and you have to wait for it in the mail as opposed to popping down to whatever pharmacy GoodRx shows as the cheapest, why would you continue to use a foreign mail order site.

Cialis didn't work for me the one time I took it. My doctor told me it might have a longer half-life, but that of the three available at the time it was the weakest.

I pay 0.80 per pill and they work for me...

Stop being paranoid, if it works it's good... and it's easy to see how Viagra works.

A lot of things are illegal and yet we still do them.

I won't tell you how to use your money, I like buying everything from that site and I'll keep doing it. To each his own, I also like hiring for 1 hour not for days and overnights like others do.

Yes, I wait 2 weeks for the delivery... but I like planning and I don't wait to run out before buying it, I just buy it, store it, use it, and before running out I buy more.

Cialis (generic) is not supposed to be for use in this country and it didn't work for some guys because it's not a miracle pill, it's only good for youngish/in shape guys who CAN get an erection on their own but while wearing a condom might get soft. Viagra is better and highly recommended to guys like you and me (I'm 76)

I find that VONS (Safeway) sometimes has lower prices than Rite-Aid and Costco. I will check on GoodRx, though.

Thanks guys for the tip.

I've never heard of Cialis being only for young or in shape guys. While some guys may get better results from one ED drug as opposed to another, I don't think there is really any way to determine that in advance. I was probably 48 when I tried name brand Cialis. It was provided to me by my urologist. If he had thought it wouldn't work for me, he wouldn't have given me the sample.

Interesting, I just had a conversation today with a coworker who is 75. He uses Cialis as his regular boner drug. He and his wife like the results they are getting. I guess one 75 year old man is youngish/in shape guys who CAN get an erection while at the same time a 76 year old man is just plain old and out of shape.:D

My coworker really did tell me just this morning about his ED meds, a serendipitous coincidence.

It's easier to just point your search engine to <name of your drug> coupon. There may be more than one place to save a buck.

Funny you should suggest that approach, as that's how I save $50 per month on Advair.

I actually read about All Day Chemist here a few years ago, recommended by another forum member who also said he got generic Viagra and his asthma meds in addition through them, both of which always worked for him! I ordered the sildenafil generic through them and it has always worked for me, with the 100 mg tabs costing about $0.80 per pill. Later, after I'd been using it very effectively for a while, I checked out the drug company name on the boxes and found it to be a legitimate drug manufacturer in India, Cipla.

Anyway, as Marylander points out, if it works, why pay $30 plus for each brand name Viagra pill?

Such a coincidence you just talked to your coworker and he happens to be 75 and he uses Cialis, such a small world.

Don't worry, we all think you're gorgeous, you look 35, and you're in great shape... What do you on here hiring escorts? Go have free sex with some of your young neighbors.

I wasn't aware of Alldaychemist before, and visited the site today. There were 9 options for sildenafil 100 mg, each at a diff price from a diff manufacturer. This confused me. I saw the one mentioned here by Cipla.

There were also several double the quantity offers, which was quite enticing. I am going to order, but besides the offer by Cipla, has anyone ordered from a diff manufacturer here ? Being an online boner-maker Virgin,

any guidance offered would be appreciated, and since Mary seems to be quite knowledgeable, I hope hoping to here from him.

GRACIAS.....
