So he says, "I'll be walking down the driveway." When I saw him, I pulled over and parked on the street (opposite the house.) He says, "You can park in the driveway," but since I had already parked, I didn't move the car. We go in the front door to the apartment where it is obvious a small child lives. I give him a gift as he offers me a glass of water. He tells me to wait in the bedroom and he'll be right in. One minute later, I receive a text message from him: "The cops are on the way. You need to leave. Because it's not my house and the owners will be back momentarily." Now I've been in the game a minute, so I knew there weren't any cops coming, so I hung around for a few minutes to decide what to do and to make them squirm. I ultimately decided to avoid any drama and chalk it up to yet another bad bp experience. As I was leaving, I saw him and two women walking up the street and heard one ask, "Is that him?" as I crossed the street.

I should've listened to that voice inside that said this wasn't gonna be a good one.

I get a bit of flack on the forum re: using backpage, and I will admit it's risky - seems more so recently. Not everyone's "cup of tea".

 

One of the top hiring rules is always "listen to your sixth sense" be it Rentmen, BP, CL, or even well reviewed gentlemen here. You are your best instinct, it. Sounds like you ignored it this time?

Never go to a BP "incall" hosted by an escort. More than likely a cop, thieving thug or someone who could easily harm you. Outcalls only preceded by lots of verifiable and traceable communication.

Actually there's a lot of BP lovers/defenders on here and sometime I'm the only one warning folks about hit and keep getting scolded for doing it, I get pack attacked because I don't have the sixth/common sense or smelling a fake in a minute or I'm too immature to know how to handle BP.

 

I'm glad you came out declaring yourself a backpage advocate, where are the other ones now? I guess they left you alone, thanks for standing up for your principles.

the scammer collected his money up front (oops), then disappeared to send the text to get out, now that the money was safely in hand!....the "ladies" must've just been friends/mother of the child/roommates in on the racket....I guess they all realized they could use the decent-looking guy's appearance to collect some quick dough

Phone number pulls up a female escort's ad in Google's cached pages. I've had some great experiences from Backpage. I would have avoided this one if a Google search turned up the female escort's ad. Whenever a M4M escort is working with a female or trans escort it has seemed sketchy to me, and I've had one bad experience with that type of team.

I have ventured into the state of Ohio only once--in 1968. I was attending college in central (horrifyingly central) Pennsylvania and a buddy and I hitchhiked west to visit a friend at a college in far western PA.
