I'd add that they were not only lies about that escort but also about several well-respected posters to this forum. I don't know Peneampio, so I can't comment on him and his reviews, but both you and Truhart1 are trusted, long-time Forum contributors.

The title of this thread is: In Defense of an Escort Attacked by Magic Mike. It seems less of a defense and more a counterattack. So I would be fine with A Counterattack on Magic Mike after he Attacked Another Escort. I have no interest in finding out who the initial escort in question is. I think that there is always a reason some motivation for an attack and one needs to judge that in accepting to know about the attack. That goes for a counterattack as well.

 

As I do not have a dog in this fight, I will back away. I just prefer if dogs weren't fighting.

Maybe you should check it out.

One thing is to wonder if a guy is using pics that represent him or not, back in the days when I was young my abs would disappear and appear constantly.

 

peneampio is a well-known local forum reader (he doesn't post as much) but he goes to the meetings at Annie's on MAL and he posted more reviews and hire more guys than the average poster of this forum.

 

Even the guys who said they didn't like him or didn't feel a connection with him said he was nice and never asked for a review, or bully them by text DAILY about it while denying them service (hiring him) till they do.

 

There was an larger number of well-known long time posters in the forum and REVIEWERS (because MIKE by PM once told me that guys on the forum are nothing but window shoppers and they barely hire) like Truhart1, Peneampio, Marylander and at least 4 others who met him and had a great time.

 

He's the only guy I hire here in DC, I've told that to JD and others.

The logic here leaves me wondering. You are saying outright that this unscrupulous escort satisfies his clients in every way "so to speak" but will not let them hire him again unless they submit a good review? That seems much more detrimental to the escort in question than the client. Just a guess, but I, myself, and most clients, if they did not want to write a review, would not feel pressured into it by this technique! In fact, I'd think the escort would lose a lot more clients than he would ever gain reviews.

 

Also check some of your facts, please. His ad on RM shows this escort is not exclusively a top, but is also versatile. In all those 112 great reviews you criticize, there are a number that praise him as a bottom too. In fact, a client who posts quite often on the forum and has famously only hired escorts who will bottom has posted that he hired the escort in question at least three times so this particular client could top him!

Actually, I've posted 18 reviews on Daddy's, of my best escort experiences. Some of my favorites, like the escort in question, have gotten follow-up reviews. NO. This escort has never pressured me in any way to write a review. I always find him an easy-going, sweet and generous soul. Never pushy in any way. As someone who's been a victim of allegation, I feel I have a particular perspective on this. And as someone whose escorting career began and flourished in DC, I’ve got firsthand knowledge of the escort scene there.

 

Reading Mike's original post, I couldn't help but go to a place of defensiveness. I knew he was talking about somebody else, but as a working man in DC, it made me feel quite uneasy. Although I'm no longer based in DC, I still travel there for appointments four times a year. My work as an escort is my sole income, and I support myself and my family with it. I know I'm not unique in this way, but to me, to willingly - or even carelessly - jeopardize a man’s work is extremely inappropriate. My feeling of defensiveness continued, as Mike also wrote that the escort in DC has many positive reviews, and is well known – and I fit into those categories. Essentially, Mike made a profile of this guy but didn't name him- creating speculation of many male escorts in DC. Many of them are friends of mine, so even if I take myself out of the equation, I’m still irritated.

 

I can't really speak for Mike’s motivation. Was he looking to discuss a true issue in the industry (coerced reviews, or perhaps the wider topic of “authenticity in reviews”)? Was he feeling, in this still-relatively-new era of transparency, a role to police others? Was he looking to state some negative behaviors of some escorts, in what some have suggested was a self-promoting effort? Was he trying to “make his mark” as An Escort To Hire While in DC, because of his relatively recent relocation there? Or was it, perhaps, a combination of these motives?

 

I tried to put myself in his position, and imagined what I might have done if I had heard what he heard. I think that given the circumstances, perhaps the best action would have been in two directions:

 

ONE (as several forum readers have already discussed), I would have brought this to the attention of Daddy. He has repeatedly expressed that he wants to know about issues of discrepancies or possible negative behavior on the part of escorts; after all, one of the main goals of his site is to pass on such information. And it is his site, his choice of how to handle reviews, his selection of the EOY, his verification process for submissions from those who hire.

 

TWO, I would have thrown this out to the forum as a topic for discussion, similar to what Killian suggested - without suggesting who I thought this person was, but also without giving any hints about him - even suggesting a geographic location. I also would have made it clear that I wouldn’t be disclosing such information in the future, neither in the conversation nor via private messages. To me, this is a more sophisticated - and dare I say it, discreet - way of handling this topic. And discretion, as Mike himself has pointed out many times, is one hallmark of a good escort. The ensuing conversation that would have taken place would be less about finger pointing and probably more constructive, to the industry in general.

With these statements, and my own statement that the gossip that began all this was completely unfounded (going by my personal experience of hiring the escort in question more than 15 times and knowing his personality to be nothing like Mikey purported - his reviews are all legitimate and none were coerced!) I believe it is definitely time for both this thread and that thread of gossip to be shut down for good by TPTB!
