Justin Bieber Says He's 'Done Taking Pictures' With Fans in New Rant: 'I Feel Like a Zoo Animal

After his barefoot walk around Boston, the 22-year-old singer went on an Instagram rant on Tuesday, continuing to air his frustrations with fans who come up to ask him for photos on the street.

“If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I’m not gonna take a picture. I’m done taking pictures,” the Purpose artist wrote. “It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognize me as a human. I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to to keep my sanity.”

One recalls Joan Rivers' practice of always being gracious to fans who approached her in public (as indeed she was one time to me and an escort I was with, who approached her for me to take a pic of them together).

She explained why to her entourage: "Never forget who is paying for all of this!"

I also had the opportunity to see her at a Broadway show. She was very gracious and seemed appreciative of the well wishes and comments given to her. She was a class act.

True, but what if you get no time to yourself while out in public? No ability to finish a meal or go anywhere without interruption? The public can be a ravenous beast (or bitch, if you choose).

I don't agree that being famous means giving that up altogether. But if a celebrity is not willing to give out autographs on the street, s/he had better make damn sure that there are ways for fans to get an autograph, meet in person, and take a photo with you.

Another observation is that Bieber fans are likely to be more demanding and less understanding than Rivers' fans. It was a different time, before social media, and their demographics are different. Fandom is now more unfiltered, and fans of pop stars are particularly likely to feel entitled and to act immaturely (along with their idols). I don't think you can reasonably compare them.

I was informed, several years ago, buy a Lady of Certain Age, that on the Vineyard (Martha's), one did not engage in conversation with the Notables, unless spoken to first. They were there for their privacy; as a repeat visitor, their privacy was requested to be respected.

I was told that "If you see and recognize Carly Simon, you may not. If she says hello, then you may say "Hello, Ms. Simon." More is not to be said."

In the ensuing years, I met Mrs. Hirschhorn (of the Museum on the Mall in DC) and Mrs Gillette, who immediately asked me, "What kind of physician are you?" "Anesthesiologist," came my reply. She promptly turned and walked away. Physicians are tradesmen, you know.

Exactly... he can always keep the money and retire.

Fair enough. OTOH you can compare him to other pop musicians, especially those of his age, most of whom seem to manage without such an outburst as he just felt compelled to make.

More Bieber weirdness out of Boston, sources report that not only did he spend the day walking barefoot thru the city and feeding squirrels, he also spent some time "sitting in a tree"....

Maybe he is an "animal" afterall ?

As I said, he put it in a crass (and inappropriate) way that (impliedly) I don't approve of. But I get why he might feel that way.

I suspect he is hounded by his fans in a way Joan Rivers' fans would never dare to.

I would think at the end of the day when he goes home, he can relax and wind down by COUNTING HIS FUCKING MONEY !

I have some sympathy for the guy, though he's done some pretty obnoxious things.

He started performing at 14 and very quickly moved beneath a magnifying glass. Every utterance, move, and hairstyle change was broadcast instantly across the twitterverse and critiqued - how many adolescents can withstand that kind of self image pummeling and not develop a cynical streak. I do think some of his adult stunts, like walking off the stage, are unacceptable and suspect he's approaching a "whatever - I don't give a fuck" point in his life.

He's done the Lamborghini and Gulfstream thing so the money probably means little. If anything, I'd guess that the promotional machine that surrounds him forces him to sustain the income generating momentum and remain relevant.

It's really all sort of sad.

I think Bieber is an entitled asshole who should probably take a break from performing. If his money people haven't screwed him over and he can contain his spending, he ought to be able to do that long enough to return with a clearer head. (No, not that one!) But so many others, corporate and individual, rely on him making money for them or as a source of their income that it's likely he won't be allowed to.

I have no Sympathy for him, or others like him. Every human endures some sort of repercussion due to their chosen profession. Deal with it, especially when you are living in the lap of luxury. Stop whining. If you don't like it, walk away from it and go live a Nomad life in the woods.... I doubt he wants to wipe his ass with a leaf ?

How about a leaf wielded by 3 bikini-clad supermodels ?:D

He might like THESE 3 ?

Your Daily Bieber - More Tales from Beantown 5/13/16

Justin Bieber has been on an especially random rampage recently as he continues to seemingly do whatever he wants throughout the city of Boston.

The 22-year-old is currently in the Massachusetts capital for a stop on his Purpose World Tour, and Wednesday night was no different than the last few days of lighthearted mischief.

We've already seen Justin walking around Boston Common barefoot and climbing some trees in the Public Garden, but now he's terrorizing the Back Bay as well!

That's because the Love Yourself singer was spotted at Storyville Boston after his concert where he was seen walking on top of the bar, sipping patrons' drinks and kicking club goers out of the VIP section.

Do U think The Biebs is getting a little too wild… or he just having some classic Beantown fun??

Justin Bieber shocked his Beliebers on Tuesday when he announced he would no longer be posing for photos with fans on his Purpose World Tour… despite the fact that some of them already spent $2000 for the opportunity!

Well, after the 22-year-old explained that his decision was so that he could focus on his mental health, it seems as though his fans want to make sure he has no distractions.

Now he wants to focus on his mental health? Too many enablers, too few friends...:(
