I'm heading to Amsterdam next week - first time there in a while. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions or advice if I'm looking for some fun (free trade or hire)?

I know business is legal there - any good places / neighbourhoods to go looking?

Do the working guys have good English (I speak no Dutch at all, but passable French and German)?

Thanks much!

Steve

I can only help with your language question, hopefully others will have more info for you.

But, most Dutch speak very good English. Any visiting Escorts are likely to use as English as a "common" language to communicate with clients as well, so I doubt you will have any problems during your trip communicating.

Most Amsterdammers speak reasonably good English, no matter what their native language is (there are plenty of non-Dutch residents in the city, and it used to be that most of the rentboys there were from Eastern Europe). English is the lingua franca in such a polyglot place. When I first started going there many years ago, I got a cold reception if I tried to speak German, but a warm one if I spoke English.

Amsterdam was the first place another male ever kissed me in public, on a tram, and none of the other passengers seemed surprised--and that was more than forty years ago.

I love Amsterdam.

Not only is spoken English common, you'll find more/better English language bookstores in Amsterdam than in some U.S. cities (now that so many of the little independents have given up).

Enjoy, Steve! (Just be careful not to get run over by a bicycle ... cyclists in Amsterdam are aggressive, and seem to outnumber pedestrians and won't appreciate it if you wander obliviously across their path.)

Moondance - thanks. I'm looking forward to it. Work takes me to Brussels regularly, but with the crazy events in Brussels recently, I'm actually staying in Amsterdam and commuting to Brussels this time.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the city (and hopefully some of its residents.....) a little bit. Any suggestions for nightlife are greatfully appreciated!

Cheers

If you are willing to pay and do not wish to plan ahead then look up Boys Club 21 in Amsterdam. Good venue if you do not have too shy a personality.

You arrive and ring the bell and a boy will welcome you at the door and lead you up the stairs to the bar. You can to sit at the bar or on the sofas and order a drink (beer, coke, wine). The drinks prices are reasonable; i.e. its not rip-off prices. You just order the drinks first and pay at the end.

You will then get an opportunity to chat to the various boys there. Usually, they come to you one at a time although a group chat at the bar is not uncommon. If you don't like what you see, you can just pay for your drinks and leave. I have often seen this.

If you do want to it take it further, just tell the boy who will tell you what it cost for the room and his services. You then pay the bartender along with your bar bill.

The boy will lead up to upstairs to one of the four bedrooms available. On a busy night, you might be asked to wait for a room to become available although I have only experienced this once on a Saturday night.

After your session, the boys will lead you back to the bar or to the entrance door as you wish.

English is of varying standards but it is generally good. Boys are often from Eastern Europe although some Dutch boys work the afternoons.

It sounds like nothing has changed in the 20 years since I went there.
