Is it just me, or is anyone else frustrated that you have to take extra steps to search? I usually use the grid display as opposed to the list (that at least displays position), and when I click on an individual's ad, it won't display position or safe info. Have to then click on the search filters. Not a user/potential-client friendly experience.

My understanding is that this is more a policy choice by the website owners rather than a browser issue. It seems that the “missing” information is available to those with who have signed up as “members.” This was discussed in a couple of other recent threads.

There have been many changes with all these sites since the events of last August, and whatever the reason behind them, the consistent theme seems to be that there is less information, and it is not as easily available. Unfortunate.

I was one of the folks who was able to see some information as a member but not as a non-member. However, I can't see the "into" information that some other folks can see. My email was answered with a cryptic message that did not address the question. Sounds like less-than-competent design to me.

You can get around being a member by using the filters. If you check off your desired position and/or safe/askme/anything goes, it will yield only those results.

IDK, maybe just me, but this doesn't seem "customer friendly" to me? I understand they want to have you register and then advertise to you...but the gentlemen advertising on there are paying, and they're not getting their full info/profile out to every potential.

Not a big deal, the marketing guy in me just wonders

This is what happens when you are the only game in town without real competition.

Expect further degradation of the product or service. They seem to have an "I don't give a fuck attitude" about a lot of things (anyone remember the fake escort threads).

Interestingly, I tried this yesterday because there is someone visiting my area and I was curious what his response was to the Safe Sex question. When I filtered the search, he didn't show up in any of the categories. I suppose that means that he simply didn't answer that question, so who knows what that means? I hope that Rentmen is smart enough that they didn't hide the question from advertisers as well. o_O

If it is any consolation, I'm working on a project that involves several large software providers. Some of their applications have the same types of "features." Less alarming from RentMen, for sure.
