So I canceled my ongoing subscription to men4rentnow.com, it will end at the end of the month. I haven't had a client from this website in I can't tell you how long. Is this the right thing to do? Do most that visit men4rentnow also visit rentmen? I get plenty of traffic on rentmen, which makes me wonder if anyone really uses men4rentnow. Have other guys found these same issues, are there any other listing sites worth exploring?

From this client's perspective, I use rentmennow.com for two purposes only: 1) see if I can get additional pix on a guy who already advertises on Rentmen or 2) hoping to find a guy who doesn't already have a profile/ad on Rentmen. The latter is only when the market I'm in is too small (Charlotte, New Orleans, etc). The former bc I'm greedy. ;) So I think your decision is a good one.

Men4Rentnow was great a few Years ago. I had a steady stream of Business(Along with my Rentboy Ad) and Most Inquries were Serious.

You're not alone @keithhardy. I went 8 weeks once...yes EIGHT WEEKS before someone off of that Website booked me. Recently Its become what I call "The Craigslist of Advertisement sites" . Basically Theres alot of "Talk" and Randoms....but nothing ever Happens I.E a Booking.

Its more for Small Cities/Towns.

Do yourself a favor and delete the text and pics from your profile before it expires. Otherwise, your ad stays up and they just keep sending you emails saying "you have 15 unread messages. Resubscribe today to see them". Funny how those messages always come through right after your ad expires, and none of them ever lead to a booking. But do take the pics and text down so that clients don't think you're being unresponsive.

And yeah, the devil disguises his dung as Men4RentNow.

All of the above is true and M4RN is a dog in allot of ways, but I believe I've avoided a couple of bad hires by virtue of their posting of not-recommended reviews.

My only 1-star review ever remains up at M4RN after a month but was pulled down from RM after 24 hours.

I don't make much of the positive reviews on either, but a negative (or blocking of reviews) carries some weight.

LOL imagine you delete all your pictures and texts and all you have left is a blank profile and you still get messages the day after your profile expires saying " wow your profile is such a mystery... I'm intrigued lets talk more" lmao

Maybe, maybe not. If you leave all your pics and the text in then there is the possibility that a potential real client might leave a message. If you've deleted all that the likelihood of a real message is vanishingly small.

Men4RentNow seemed to work well for minor cities. An escort in Saint Louis or Tampa, for example, might not be drawing enough business to justify paying Rentboy rates, so he'd advertise on M4RN.

This is exactly it. It is useful for minor cities. Like I found a hottie in Norfolk, VA on M4RN (back in 2008). That must be how it hangs onto life.

I think clients check both sites, daddy's site too.

The West Hollywood owner of the site deleted my account out of the blue one day because I used the work "courtesan." Said I violated the terms of use by using that word. No editing, no warning, just account deletion. Was upset at the time... so thankful now. Saved myself $600! Woo hoo!

It must depend on the locale. I haven't hired for several years (because I'm in a great relationship), but when I was more active I hired several Indianapolis guys from Men4Rent--it seemed to be the only place Indy guys were advertising.
