I've gotten into a better flow here in Portland :) Couple of regular providers that I like a lot. From what I can tell, I'm a pretty darn good client to them and every moment is awesome.

Definitely interested in hearing about the options you've found..

My favorite so far as been (both his profiles):

https://rent.men/HungThickWolf

http://www.daddysreviews.com/search/Active/~/eric_sf

Another gem was JakeHuntr. More gentle and calm than EricWolf above:

https://rent.men/JakeHuntr

Otterboy is very kind and sweet, but is younger and not as masterful as the above two guys:

http://hourboy.com/Otterboy94

http://www.daddysreviews.com/venue/usa/oregon/david_portland

All three are open (not guaranteed, of course) to BB, which is my preference. Only JakeHuntr is able to host.

Have any recommendations?

Too bad Alex from Portland still doesn't escort. I flew him out several times, and what a sweetheart with a nice muscular smooth body and big dick!

Sorry to hijack this with a trip down memory lane but I spent a few decades in Portland full-time or part-time, half of that an an escort. A decade ago a lot of the best reviewed escorts were from Portland: Alex, who was sexy as hell and smart as a whip, my best friend Bill, me, and Tyger. Of those, Tyger is still around and active in Portland, and he is definitely worth spending time with. There were others as well, but I think it's fair to say that Portland packed way more than its punch.

It didn't take me long to figure out that San Francisco was a much more lucrative home base, and traveling was more lucrative than staying at home. I'm still not sure I understand exactly why SF was so much better, but it's probably mostly math: there are a lot more Gays in SF, and they have a lot more money to blow on hobbies.

From what I know about the Portland rental market, its probably just gotten worse. Rents in SF seemed outrageous when I moved there in 2001, compared to Portland, and they've only gone up. But at least in SF you can make a hell of a lot of money locally. Portland rents are going up like crazy, too, but this post suggests that it's still much weaker in terms of number of clients or how much they can spend. I can see why escorts might choose either a different market or a different career, because my guess is escort incomes there aren't going up as quickly as the cost of living.

Sounds like the glory days :) I wish Portland was still so! I like to think I'm a pretty darn great client :)

Your observations about the rent in Portland are spot on. It is a tough city to live in financially. I own a nice home with good acreage, but I've noticed my escorts are stuck with several roommates. In fact, throughout my network of friends, family and escorts, very few are able to afford Portland rent without roommates.

To continue the hijack, what is driving the rent up? (The same is happening in lots of markets out West at least, so Portland is not unique). I know home prices are going up, and Portland has had this good "quality of life" buzz for a long time, like when I moved there in 1990 and rents were still cheap. One sort of convincing answer I've heard is a lot of owners are renting through Air BnB because they can make more that way so it's taking units off the market. It doesn't make sense to me because it seems like rents are going up way faster than incomes, and at some point it simply becomes unaffordable. Although as you say it can also mean more people have to live in less space.

There are probably researchers who know far more than I do :) My gut tells me it is a combination of a real estate bubble, geographic constraints (plus our urban sprawl line), an insane amount of new technology money (we've got a lot of tech companies up here now with lots of inflated salaries), media romanticism of the city, and - if I can be blunt - a hipster-based culture that appeals to young people of privilege.

Spot on about Portland. I bought my first house here when I was 24 - because it wasn't that difficult to do. Don't know how my kids are going to buy houses.

I talked to Tyger B several times here and arranged to meet with him weeks ahead of time - both of us have difficult schedules. He cancelled hours before we were supposed to meet and was super apologetic. He was in the middle of closing on the purchase of a home so I understood. He rescheduled and said that he would give me an overnight for the price of a couple hour session. We scheduled out a couple weeks. Then he cancelled the second session without an apology - again, hours before. Just "I can't make it tonight. I could make it in ___" siting some dates a few weeks later. I just told him that it wasn't going to work out.

I hesitated to say this because I know he's super well respected. And honestly, we made a great connection talking on the phone and texting. Just has a lot going on, I guess.

Hi everyone :) I hope your winter is treating you well!

I've had some luck, but I definitely could use some advice on finding escorts in Portland. There seems to be so few :)

I am a classy guy and a respectful client. When I visit bigger cities I have wonderful experiences, but Portland just seems a bit quiet to me.

Any words of wisdom?

Go on grindr and offer some cash to a hipster looking guy, he'll take it and buy new clothes.

The house directly across the street from me went on the market in April= they had five offers the first day, the accepted an all-cash offer of $50K over the asking price ( inner Southeast, Reed College area). The problem here is that everyone wants to live in the same, hip inner Eastside neighborhoods, the ones they show on "Portlandia". There is so little inventory for sale, the prices are ridiculous. Zoning makes economical new construction impossible, urban growth boundary drives land prices up- be careful what you wish for, smart growth means the middle class is relegated to the suburban commuter neighborhoods. The people who need the density of services are sent out to the edges, where they need two cars to survive- filling the freeways just like 1970's LA- pisses me off no end!

Rents in Seattle are going through the roof as the city experiences an economic boom. Exciting things are happening downtown, but it is driving middle income people out, and homelessness is out of control.

San Francisco was recently named the 3rd most expensive city in the world. #1 was Hong Kong, and #2 was Vancouver, BC. A big part of what is driving the market in Vancouver and San Francisco (and to a lesser extent in Portland and Seattle) is Chinese money. Ultra wealthy Chinese are buying up property in Vancouver and San Francisco for investment purposes which is inflating the market.

I also recommend Tyger. He is not a twink, but offers a wonderful experience. I have seen him numerous times in Portland and also NYC.

What about Frankyhayes? https://rentmen.com/frankyhayes I believe he has also gone by Franklin James and “hellbilly" and he has a couple of reviews from about a year ago or so. One thing that would concern me is that his twitter picture shows him kissing a gun…I guess that’s a turn on for some people, but I would find it a little unnerving. Still, his most recent review is certainly from a reputable source. :)

Enjoyed his interview questions and his rates but know nothing about him!
