Last weekend, I binge-watched the BBC series, The Living and the Dead.

I love period pieces, particularly if they have a mystery or thriller plot.

I love those shows even more when they have a hottie as the main character. :D

I had a bit of a crush on geeky Irish actor Colin Morgan - his ears, Adams apple, and blue i's in Merlin were dreamy

Well, surprise, surprise...put a beard & longer hair on a scrawny guy and a few more years and pounds, and

you get Nathan Appleby, protagonist in The Living and the Dead....yum, yum...

His accent is meltingly gorgeous as is his winning smile. Woof!

Suga (birthname Min Yoongi, also known as Agust D) of Kpop group BTS:

Yes, I am, as they say, Suga trash! He is also hugely talented as a rapper, lyricist, composer, producer and instrumentalist (piano/keyboards) and is the most openly defiant of authority of anyone in the group. He's also the second oldest at age 23 (birthday March 9, 1993).

Realized that when switching from my tablet to my desktop, I skipped some important photos.

He also admitted -- on camera -- to stealing and wearing another group member's underwear (the victim's comment: "You know I hate sharing clothes") and that he didn't return them because they had holes in them (the implication being that he stretched them out). Umm. Yeah, okay, Yoongi. Whatever you say.

How about some Rami Malek for the Mr.Robot fans? mmmmmmmm

I find myself magnetically attracted to him, too. Never would have guessed from his green eyes that he's Arab. How could such a handsome man not be married at 35??

I could not agree with you more, Rami is unusually attractive in my eyes.

Btw, green eyes are not that uncommon in the Middle East, particularly if you meet Armenians and Jordanians.

I know you travel quite a bit and that you like dark hair and light eyes. We share that in common.

I would highly recommend a trip to safe zones in this region.

There are gorgeous closeted gay men across the Middle East with those looks.

It just takes good research & tour guides to travel there & meet them socially.

Don't get me wrong, this is not like a trip to Thailand to meet "trade." -not my thing.

It is actually a trip to meet highly educated, wordly, closeted gay men of means who are trapped

in an LGBT unfriendly society(My view).

Anyway, today, I still chat with two men that I met and one of whom is planning a trip to Uruguay next year.

Here is a toast to gorgeously unconventional men! :)

Talking about gorgeous men, Suga's face, IMO, is perfection in these kitty pics.

There is this play on androgyny in his facial features that drives me wild.

Those lips, cheekbones, perfectly adorable nose, and those sweet dark eyes.

The second pic looks like he is ready to be kissed.

I like his hair naturally dark tho.

Anyway, QTR, thank you for bringing his pix! Yum, yum!

You're welcome! Will it weird you out if I say part of the attraction is he reminds me of my aunts, all of whom had round faces like him and all of whom are equally as allergic to BS? (He also reminds me of me a lot personality-wise.)

He combines androgynous, almost pretty looks with swag, fierceness, and a unique but also spitfire form of rap that is the antithesis of feminine.

As he says, male or female, he'll turn his listeners on with his tongue technology. "Turn on" is actually a euphemism for making someone come hard.

Suga got tired of continually having to dye his hair to keep the roots from showing, so he may stick with his original color for awhile after cycling through red, orange, pink, mint green, blond and silver. As he put it when fans asked why he dyed his hair black again, "Do I really have to explain?" (He didn't.)

. Well, if it is weird, I will make it weirder.

While at boarding school, I met Connie, a Korean girl whose parents were on diplomatic mission in Buenos Aires. I loved Connie. She was direct, intelligent, caring. Her face was round, porcelain skin, deep set dark eyes, gorgeous eyebrows, and the most perfect lips/mouth ever. I recall her dad was the epitome of ambassadorial behavior: neutral, detached, yet cordial. Her mom, however, was a no-nonsense woman who, through her broken Spanish, would really call things as she saw them. I kinda think Connie i herited the best of both her parents. Anyway, Connie had a older brother who was also my age and pretty much looked like a male version of her. He and I had some great times playing with each other. I believe my attraction to Asian men is very much influenced by his physical look and my emotional attachment to Connie. That androgyny thing drives me bananas. Lol..more unconventional commentary that you might care to know. :)

It's fine. I come from the "speak your mind effectively" wing of Korean thinking. My favorite aunt (my dad was the only boy in a large family, even I feel a little sorry for him) was very political and left-wing, used to work in art gallery and was an interior decorator back in the day when she was still married.

I also come by my sexual rebellion/subversiveness honestly. One aunt left her husband and sons for another man. One aunt who was divorced probably had an affair w/her married co-worker, known to me as "Uncle Who?" (Name was actually John.) Another aunt had an affair w/co-worker while still married, wound up in mental institution due to breakdown. That's the Korean/paternal side of the family.

My mother gave my father Playboy calendars, bought and displayed a non-explicit pastel of a nude woman in the living room. Her sister had a child out of wedlock whose father was a student at local college. Her parents adopted him; for the longest time I didn't realize he was a blood relative. Legally my uncle, biologically my cousin. He was the one who suggested my name.

I have a weird and confusing family tree.

Wow, thanks for sharing!

Unconventional beauty and cultural behavior! What else can you ask for in a thread?

Oh, yeah, cock! ;)

*points upward to tight pants photos* which I found on threads started by women.

We are less different than people think (other than women uniformly don't want unsolicited dick pics).

You are all as free to dream about Suga's tongue technology sending you to Hong Kong (colloquial Korean for "a damn fine orgasm") as I am to dream about the same thing. Some evidence suggests he may be equally amenable to either and even if not, he's fine with people engaging with his music however they want, as long as they don't stalk him.

Hmm. Maybe I could meet a dark haired, green eyed Arab, take him home with me, and get him asylum... ;) Why don't they have web sites for this?

We have a very large extended family most of whom came from pre-revolutionary Russia. When we tried to do a family tree, several relatives undertook the task independently figuring to compare notes at the end. What a hoot when they all got it right - several cousins married cousins so the arrows went around in circles and my great-great grandfather almost got shot by his wife escaping from his girlfriend's second story window (in Russia, of course). The details all came from different sources!

Family scuttlebutt as I heard it said my grandmother was married to the son of the last ruler of Korea, which would make him the father of the aunt who ran off with another man, leaving her husband and sons behind. What little research I've done doesn't back this up, but it seems pretty clear that before she and her baby daughter landed in San Francisco, she had been part of the privileged class in Seoul and had been permanently scarred psychologically by the Japanese annexation of her country. Coming here and marrying an irascible, perfectionistic vegetable farmer from Busan must have been a disorienting experience, but it was one she endured with grace, from all I heard. She died before I was born from complications of surgery as a result of undiagnosed diabetes. The family did not tell my father, who was in Europe with the Army Air Force, about his mother's death until he was discharged. He was not pleased about that.

I won't go into the Infant of Prague figure my mother's sister (the one who had a child out of wedlock) had, but while there was an obvious rivalry between her and my mother (my aunt was prettier and more delicate-looking, but my mom had the standout figure), I later discovered that my aunt, while neurotic, was not as ditzy as I'd always thought she was. I always wondered why she never had another child, what her relationship with her husband (not the guy who impregnated her) was like, and why they married in the first place.

Sebastian Koch is hot when he is NOT clean shaven. But a midget? (Or should I use a more politically correct term such as "little people" or "height challenged people?) Come on!

I think Peter Dinklage is hot -- Great face - great voice = great eyes = excellent actor -- And his vertical height has no relation to his horizontal height!

Plus I admit Inquiring minds want to know!
