Hey Guys!

Sooo I'm Finally making the Leap over to Rentmen(After Rentboy going down I've relied Mainly on my Regulars and another Website)

While Preparing to Sign Up Its Asking for ID Verification....Seriously!?:(

I dont mind Proving I'm Legal However I do like my Private Life...Private.

Does anyone know what they Use this Information for?

Also Any clue If there is a Minimum of Pictures required? I currently have 3 On one Website but Am Thinking now may be the Time to get some new Ones since They're a Year old.

I Guess my main Concern is Whats with the ID Verification...I would think this would scare some people Away wanting to Escort granted the Business we are In...Especially those Very Active In their Community(Or School as myself)

Jock, as a starting point, you might want to check out this thread that Killian started last September on which other escorts weighed in ...

As an additional thought, I wonder if you'd get more feedback from guys who advertise on Rentmen if you moved this inquiry from The Lounge to Ask An Escort.

Check to see what kind of IDs are acceptable. For instance I have a Global Entry card ( US Federal Issued ) that I'll provide as a form of ID if I'm unsure about a company's method of data protection. Some places question it but when you mention that the DHS issues it their next question is how they go about getting one, haha.

I'm more keen on providing my Global Entry or Passport Card / Passport Book than my Driver's license because of the amount of information presented.

On a side note Kurtis- I have my GOES interview coming up very soon. You are the first person I know of who actually has one. If it "goes" well, do they issue my credentials on the spot, or do I have to wait even longer for it?

Thanks.

But you don't need your ID card to use global entry. Just scan your passport at the kiosks and you are all set. I haven't used my ID card the past ten trips I made internationally, and I've had no issues getting back into the country. So you should be golden once you pass the interview.

My recent trip was the first time I had travelled internationally in some years so the first time I had been through automatic passport checks. They worked efficiently leaving and returning to Australia and entering the US. I still had to front up to an INS (or whatever they are now called) agent and have all my fingerprints taken after the electronic scan but it was reasonably smooth.

I was unaware of TSA pre before my recent trip. From reading the TSA web site page about it I'm clearly not eligible, but when my QF flight was delayed and my AA flight from DFW to DCA rescheduled my new boarding pass was marked TSAPRE (another point, it reads as applying to leaving the US not domestic flights, but whatever). Didn't happen on my other two departures in the US but on the DFW one I didn't have to take my laptop out of my backpack or take my shoes off, and at the other two I did have to. The DCA departure the laptop was a 'no big deal, we just gonna rescan it' rather than a 'what sort of idiot are you leaving it in your backpack'.

TSAPre is not what it used to be. A lot more people have it now than a few years ago and it seems to me that the newbies haven't got a clue as to what they need to do in order to go through. So many of them take off their shoes, their belts and take their laptops out. Very frustrating.

It was actually the KTN I was hoping I would get to use a few days later, so that is perfect for me. Thanks! Have you always got TSA Pre ever since?

I had a problem receiving TSA PreCheck and I just assumed it was one of those times I got randomly selected to go through normal screening. After the 3rd time of not receiving it, I called American and they said it was something on TSA's end as to why I didn't get it. Called TSA and long story short, apparently my PreCheck birthday didn't match my American Airlines birthday and that's why it wasn't giving it to me automatically. Had them put in an inquiry and it turns out when I signed up for Global Entry, they somehow reported the wrong birthday to TSA (even though I gave them the right one) so that's why it didn't match the birthday on my AA profile. This is probably really rare but if you find that you're not getting TSA PreCheck when you should, it might be worth giving them a call and having them do an investigation as to why. Enjoy the benefits!

I will advise if you see someone doing this to not speak out about it. You are more than likely to piss off whom ever you tell that to ( whether they know what they're doing or not ).

During the winter time I will wear my boots which does set off the metal detector. All my belts set off the metal detector as well. My old laptop would be a 50-50 chance for qualifying for "rescanning". I've ran into a few instances where a road warrior will speak up ( even though I'm not holding up the line ) and I will be quick to put that person back on their level. Usually my insults will range from sassy black woman crying hate crime to DYKWIA to clarifying why I am doing whatever I am doing then adding something along the lines of "but I wouldn't expect a peasant/commoner to know that". The best is when that person gets randomly selected for the full body pat down ( oddly enough that has happened more times than I would expect ).

I also love it when the folks in line cry foul when I use the CLEAR lane and skip the line. That one always gets a DYKWIA response. One person asked for my autograph once. They didn't know who I was but thought it was a good idea to grab my autograph in case it was worth something.

But seriously, if someone has an AA PLT tag, UA GLD and DL GLD tag on their bag along with an Admirals Club tag. Pretty safe to assume they know how to go through security.

Can we rename this topic?

Mmmm full pat down of KW... :) :0 perk of being a TSA agent :p now come into this room so we can do a full body and cavity search:P
