Is it just me or does anyone else get irritated when guys write a review of a escort and then say in the middle of it " the details of our encounter is private between us"...or some such bullshit... They sound like some 16 yr. girl on a prom date!! This site is titled M4M escort review and they dont' give a review! When they say without giving details " it was wonderful, etc" you have no idea as some of these queens think if the guy smiles at them while they are blowing the escort, that it is a wonderful experience! Without saying what they did, the review is worthless...IMHO.

Tomcal it has been an ongoing problem. I rarely read reviews anymore for this very reaon. I don't want to waste too much of my time reading empty reviews.

While I agree reviews need enough detail to be valuable, I also understand (and sometimes do) hold back details that I consider private. I think it's a fine balance. I think a review should give a good impression of what being with the escort's like, what he likes to do and is good at, etc., but at the same time, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable sharing EVERYTHING about an experience in a review. Though I hope, even not doing that, I can get across what might be helpful to others considering spending some time with him.

Tom, I couldn't have said it any better or more pointedly. A waste of bandwith and disk space that compromises the review data integrity.

I doubt that it is just you! I can't speak for anyone else, but I feel no need to go into all the details about the sexual activities that occur between the client and the escort, as such encounters, are so subjective as they vary from escort to client and vice versa. If the review gives accurate facts about the basics: the escort lives up to his advertised looks and promised abilities, that is imo, all that is needed. Does that make the reviewer some kind of "16 yo girl on a prom date" worthy of your scorn, or does it make you some kind of salacious voyeur who can't make a decision without all the "nasty details"?

Which type of demand is more irritating, is a judgment call depending on the client, right? But please, keep on denigrating the quality of such reviews, and thus discourage further reviews by those very clients whose reviews don't live up to what you "deem" as worthy of being posted on this site.

Gee, that just might be the perogative of the reviewer? Absolutely, no excuse that anyone else could possibly enjoy any enounter with an escort that did not go into an in depth recitation of the minute by minute sexual encounter. GOD forbid, that there might be clients out there who enjoy only "blowing some escort and enjoying the smile of pleasure on the escort's face", or gasp, there might be a client who hires an escort just to enjoy his companionship. Such clients are pathetic old queens who don't enjoy the experience that they are personally paying for to encounter, because damn it, it's not what you deem as acceptable!

Everyone posting a review should definitely run it past you first, to gain your approval! If you don't personally approve of the content, then damn it, the review should not be posted. In other words, get over your self-important, judgmental self!

If the review gives accurate facts about the basics:

>the escort lives up to his advertised looks and promised

>abilities, that is imo, all that is needed.

I think this is exactly the point, Vahawk. People are curious when reading reviews exactly what type of promised abilities the escort will live up to.

Even someone like me, who likes longer appointments and likes to maintain contact with escorts, still has to admit that my initial attraction to them is sexual, and that I want them to do the sexual activities that I like. The review process helps to clarify that, as things like top and bottom and VERY versatile etc don't mean the same thing to all people.

Do they do oral well? very important to some, not to me. are they passionate bottoms? very important to me, not to others. Are they hard when they get fucked? I would hire on the spot for that. etc etc

Don't expect all information in all reviews, but do expect some information... or else can just read the ad.

Hawk, you seem to adopt an all or nothing view of reviews and the complaint in this thread . Is there no middle ground? I don't write porn short stories, I dont wish to and don't expect to read one.

>such encounters, are so subjective as they vary from escort to

>client and vice versa.

So true. That is the very nature of reviews. A subjective account of one person's experience -- the key word is experience. And because it is subjective that is why Hooboy established the reviewer 'review list' so that readers could have more information about consistency of the reviewer.

But some things about a review are not subjective. A restaurant reviewer presents fact when he says what is on the menu and if he could actually order and receive it. That is factual. Was it received in a timely manner -- less objective but quantifiable nevertheless. Was it served hot and how well did it suit the reviewer's palate is more subjective.

>If the review gives accurate facts

>about the basics: the escort lives up to his advertised looks

>and promised abilities, that is imo, all that is needed.

I agree if you mean he describes the menu, ordered from the menu and received the order in a timely manner. Simply saying that "I enjoyed everything I ordered and I loved it" without ANY additional information is not an adequate review IMO.

>Which type of demand is more irritating, is a judgment call

>depending on the client, right?

That is part of what a review is all about but only part. There are objective components. See above.

> But please, keep on

In my old age I try to be less immoderate in my comments but... I would hope that this thread and my contrbution would do just that -- discourage the submission of content-free reviews. That is my whole point in posting not just bitching. If I were processing these reviews they would go immediately into the can. I encourage informative reviews, especially for new talent or escorts short on recent reviews.

Not on my review site. Thank You cards should be sent to the escort directly.

There we go with the all-or-nothing view. Just the facts sir, not necessarily in lurid detail but clearly enumerated. Opinions are accepted but not necessary. Thank You cards are not solicited.

I hire for companionship so I can relate to this. If that is what one does then fine -- say so! Say what makes him a great companion: his conversational ablity, wide raging knowledge, sense of humor, infectious laugh, love of music, food, knowlege of wine, ... whatever.

First off, this is not a criticism, but rather an inquiry. I really don't understand the need to copy someone's entire post and then dissect it line by line, and further dissect it word by word within the individual lines. I didn't know that mine or anyone else's point of view, needed such dissemination, as such dissections often lead to the obfuscation of the original point of view.

Point being, HB published the very reviews that people are complaining about. HB determined that such reviews met the criteria for submitted reviews (read the rules), and HB verified the legitimacy of those reviews via his verification procedures. I for one, trust HB, as so far, imo, he has done an outstanding job, both for the escorts and the clients that hire them.

All the reviews that people are complaining about, met all the criteria demanded from this site, to be published. If those sanctioned reviews don't provide what you need to know, then file a complaint to HB or better yet, personally disregard such reviews, as that is the easiest course of action that you can pursue. The least productive path of action has to be to come here to the mc and complain about those sanctioned reviews and castigate those who submitted the reviews.

I like TY's analogy of the restaurant review: if all it says is that the reviewer enjoyed the meal, it isn't very helpful for someone trying to decide whther to patronize the place (do they serve the dishes I like, and how are they prepared and served?). On the other hand, I don't need a jerk-off story, either ("...as he slid the jockey shorts down, he revealed ten inches of hard, veined meat in a bush of curly black hair. 'Do you want to suck that, dude?' he said in a deep voice, an evil grin spreading across his face. Moaning slightly, I crawled across to him and..."). It also depends on whether it is a first review, or what has been said in previous reviews--I tend to be much more detailed when writing about an encounter with someone who has never been reviewed before or only rarely, but why should I be the tenth person to mention that the escort prefers to fuck standing up? And then there are some details that really do feel too personal: do I have to say exactly what I was doing when I came with Tom Bustone?

I agree with Tomcal that there have been a lot of reviews lately that seem terminally coy, but I don't find them necessarily useless, just not very salacious reading.

Why? We don't know who you are. Being only a screen name is why it should be even easier to write a complete review.

For a reviewer to say what is our little secret or I'll keep the bedroom fun to myself does't give me any indication as to what the escort will and/or won't do.

I think Mark Anthony put it best. I too want to know is he hard when he gets fucked, does he like to be spanked,is he into role play, any fetishes?

You guys should see the ones that do not get published because they are so bereft of information. Maybe I could start a website with just those. (What's that? Someone already did? Oh, sorry.)}(
