Does anyone have 411 on what it means when a masseur indicates that they accept "barter or cash" for payment? Obviously I know what cash is for the massage, but has anyone "bartered" for a massage?

Barter is defined as an exchange of goods or services without using money. It may even involve the use of a regional or national barter exchange organization (ex: “u-exchange”, “IMS”, “ITEX”). Things like dental work, car repair, home maintenance, hotel accommodations, food produce, etc.

And, just to be clear, the IRS considers most barter transactions taxable.

Yeah, I think in a lot of cities there might be professionals who have access to corporate swag or comped hotel rooms or the like that an escort could make use of. Hmm, maybe I should find a college student struggling in math...
