A random thought: Population Center

I was just wondering: does anyone have an idea where the geographic center for hiring is, in the US of A?

 

I would propose that New York (and possibly LA) be eliminated from the count, strictly on a population bias.

 

Boston has always been a problematic city. We're way stuck out (not up), and JetBlue has decided to start the only "hub" airline at Logan Airport. [Jetblue's Mint service is starting in March. That should pull in some west coast business.]

 

The population center used to be near Chicago, but I think it's somewhere in Kansas now.

This is purely impressionistic (well, isn't almost everything on this site?), but there seem to be many more reviews these days for escort appts in the West than in the East.
