Seeking arrangements success!

Agreed. It takes time and realistic expectations from both sides with a willingness to be patient and flexbile when you're conversing with a stranger about something that both sides want to make sure they're not being scammed or taken advantage of before establishing mutual trust. I have been pleasantly surprised recently with meeting SB's who have been consistent from their profiles to our subsequent text and phone conversations through meet ups.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just joined Seeking this week after someone I met on Grindr mentioned it to me (I know). I’m 32 and I’m upfront with the guys that I don’t have the financial flexibility that other more established guys might be but I am interested in a friends with benefits/guy I can take to a hockey game type situation. So far I’ve chatted with some nice guys not too far from me (and received messages from guys from so many different countries I feel like the UN) but I have a specific type I’m looking for.

i am interested to see how it goes.

This is how I handle it, when I’m paying for premium membership, that is. They’ve raised it to $90 a month which is crazy. Occasionally they offer a 25% off sale. I don’t keep any pics of myself on there (after the Ashley Madison hack, I don’t 100% trust those sites). This allows me to offer to trade pics via Snapchat, kik, email, text, etc and then I have a way to keep in touch once overpriced SA membership lapses after a month. If they kept it at 40 or 50 a month, I might leave it on premium year-round. I’ve met a couple different good guys on there over several years. The rest turned out to be one-timers or tried asking me for money before we even met (been burned on that one before - never again!).

I’m curious if SA has college athletes (e.g. swimmers, rowers, etc.), I know it’s a random question. However, curious if those types of guys could be found there.

I have seen a few on seeking in NYC. Self declared college athletes - whether they are being truthful is of course to be determined.

Interestingly enough, i have seen a great number of fresh faces on mintboys and friendboy.pro when I window shopped this past weekend. Some appear very athletic. ?

One of the frustrating aspects of that site is getting lots of messages from guys who are too far away for it to work. Or ones who want way more of a gift than most men could provide. Are there more affordable alternatives to SA? I could pay a monthly fee but $90 or even $67 a month is ridiculous for what you usually get out of it.

I’ve always felt the investment justified the reward. I’m on an SA hiatus at the moment, not meeting new people.

You can filter out your inbox messages by geographic bounds irritating and only the messages within your setup will go to your inbox. That said, it’s not hard for the guys to spoof their location and you’ll still get some from out of area.

If you can't afford $90 per month, how could you "arrange" for a guy on this site to be happy?

It depends on how much they’re looking for per month or per hangout. I could afford the 90 but it doesn’t usually seem like the return on investment is worth it. I mostly get messages or replies from guys who are too far away or not my type. I’d rather spend the money directly on a guy.

Seeking isn’t for everyone, it takes a certain mindset and patience. If you read this whole thread (and it’s gotten long!) you will find many supporters and many detractors. Like most thing in forum life ?

Maybe they have a room to rent and think that qualifies them as powerful sugar daddies.

I don't think the sugar daddy relationship involves an X amount of money per session... that sounds more like escorting.

If you want someone for 90 per month I'm sure you'll find it in the spa. Will the HE be included?

I know escorts who offer deals like every X time one freebie.

It's been a long time since I was on SA, but one time I was looking while visiting a local college and recognized one of their division 1 athletes. I didn't pursue, way too close to home. Another time, I met an athlete in grad school with the largest blessing I've ever experienced. Beyond those two gems, a whole lot of time wasters and scammers filled my inbox until I became proficient at filtering and spotting them. SA is much more about the patient stalking hunt than the wham bam hookup of apps and bars.

I miss Craigslist personals, for many reasons. Doublelist is occasionally useful but mostly it’s the same small group of guys reading and responding.

If they're with a guy in exchange for money does it really matter how you meet them? I know escorts who have ads on SA just to search for a sugar daddy who might take them out of the business. I wonder if a certain Belgian met his Prince this way?

Are these super lucky escorts whom you know so welli in Maryland or the District of Columbia?

I’m in college, I’m an athlete, and I’m on SA. So, yes.

Not a random question if you ask me. If that is what you're seeking eventually you should be able to find it. (However, i admit i live in an area with a lot of colleges and universities). It's not a hard rule for me but i naturally tend to gravitate toward the College aged athletes. I've been perusing SA off and on for ~ 3 to 4 years and i have met and hung out with a current or former collegiate football player, a swimmer, volleyball player, basketball player and conversing with a Lacrosse player now, (all currently aged 21-25).

Lol I can give someone more than 90 a month. And have. But paying 90 a month just for some usually pointless emailing seems like a waste of money.

Some may think it is worth the money and effort to spend $90 for a couple of months to develop a pipeline of hot young guys to develop arrangements with. There is something to be said for the thrill of the chase. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but if it makes you happy... ?

Maybe next time there’s a sale lol.. I did the one earlier this year but skipped the September one.
