...the trip is confirmed for later this month and we're planning to spend about five or six days in MTL and I'll have a very full day in Quebec City for the history and scenery over there after my traveling partner leaves...

 

FYI, azdr, the NYTimes just featured Quebec City on its "36 Hours" page ... might be worth checking out their suggestions for a short visit...
