JR takes the term 'flake' to a whole new level.

I tried to meet him yesterday AND today! Both times he did not respond to the final confirmation text and phone call---yesterday not until it was way late and today, not at all. Yesterday after he finally responded he told me to still come over and gave me the address. I went there and there was no such address. I hung around for 25 minutes and texted him periodically, but it wasn't until I was already back in the subway on my way home that I got a response from him saying the address was 443 rather than 434 and that I should come back and he offered to take $100 off the fee. I texted and called at 2:00 saying I wouldn't leave home until I heard back from him. Now it's 2 hours later and I haven't heard a thing. I will not be entertaining the notion of meeting him any further.

Thanks for the reconfirmation of something I have observed more and more clearly with time: Every time a meet-up with an escort doesn't work out because of him flaking I eventually find out sooner or later that I was actually being spared a poor to mediocre encounter so I've learned to not be upset when it happens. In such cases I just feel a sense of relief and admit to myself that although it seems like I've been treated unfairly, what he has actually done is a favor to me (plus, he has saved me a lump of cash). Oh, I may think some attack thoughts about the guy initially, but I make sure I don't express them and they quickly dissipate, leaving me in peace. This has happened enough times that when JR flaked two days in a row I couldn't even muster up a molecule of resentment, and upon reading what @dutchal said I actually felt a wave of gratitude to him flow over me for not keeping our appointments.

I can't count how many times I've hankered after an escort for long periods of time but somehow hooking up was too troublesome or was impossible and then later I read on here some fact about the guy that instantly cures me of that chronically-held unrequited desire.
