T20 cricket from Adelaide is over, and 50 minutes to go to midnight, watching the lead up to the Harbour Bridge fireworks on the TV. With a glass of bubbles. Not The Widow, however!!

I'm going to be toasting at the strippers club.

LatB, I lost $200 in dollar bills in jockstraps last night, could you search some of your guys tonight to see if my money turns up? ;)

I'm aching today...I'm still in bed nursing a French toast and a glass of chocolate milk (somehow that's my magic cure). Trying to get my second wind for tonight!

I'm probably in for the duration. I have some merlot left over from Christmas, but my stomach's still unhappy about the six strips of bacon I had last night (two were crumbled into the home fries I made), so I'll probably skip that and the mulled cider I was planning on making. Just watch; by eleven I might be up for mulled cider.

While it's likely to be me, Spotify and/or Youtube, and the cat celebrating New Year's Eve, I'll be visiting cousins (these are from the Korean/Chinese side of the family) Saturday night. I was asked to bring dessert, so I'll be baking something between now and then.

It'll be fun commiserating with them over the car accident I was in a week ago. (I'm fine, my car is about to be totaled, and the accident was not my fault; a few of you already know about this.) I haven't seen any of them since about a year ago when I had breakfast with the cousin I'm closest to. Since my (half)siblings are 19 and 21 years younger, while he's only three years younger, he's more like a brother to me, complete with a story about a fight over a life-sized stuffed toy Snoopy that I will never let him live down. ::evil grin::

Can I close with I hate dealing with insurance companies?

I just texted to my favorite stripper and he is not going to be there, but advises me to go. He said the night will be fabulous, and the lights will be turned down. I am already horny imagining what is going to be cooking in those dark corners,

I wish all of you a nice evening. I like QTR will be spending it my usual jolly way with Me, Myself, and I. I is usually the jolliest of us three but that's not really a ringing endorsement for frivolity. Me and Myself have a tendency to be even more extreme downers than I.

They will also be joining I and bringing their own special brand of cheer on Valentine's Day, another holiday I despise.

staying in and continuing a binge-watch of the cable series "Longmire", the travails of a fictional modern-day sheriff in Wyoming.....also volunteered to dog-sit for the next-door neighbor, else the said dog would howl all night and really bother me.....

If you like reading mystery/detective fiction as well as watching it, you might enjoy the Longmire books. I started reading them because of the series and actually like them better.
