Hi guys. I'm planning a weekend in NYC at the end of July - Fri-Sun or Friday-Monday and could use some advice from those of you who are native or frequent visitors.

First - recommendations for mid-priced hotels in the Central/Times Square area. Not looking for a 'boutique' hotem but preferthe greater anonymity of larger hotel, where the comings & goings of escorts will be less obvious. Anyone familiar with the Flatotel or Westin at Times Square or the San Carlos? Other suggestions?

Secondly - are Friday & Saturday nights likely to present more problems finding escorts (i.e., fewer working because of their own social life).

Any tips & info will be much appreciated!

Oh - yeah - and advice about versatile escorts with great oral skills and friendly personalities. (My ideal is a guy who can get into having me fuck his mouth & deepthroating me, and then cuddle a little afterwards. }(

While I do not live in NY and can not speak from experience, I believe you may have just described Rick Munroe and his partner Derek Ross. Both are frequent posters, and I don't think anyone can argue that Rick does not have a friendly personality.

Both are well reviewed here in HooLand

You're quite welcome!! Your posts make me smile and laugh out loud

sometimes... more than enough payment...

Oops, sorry, I see "deep throat" in a post and that's all I tend to focus on. I will get to it in a bit; I am expecting someone momentarity. ;-)

The Flatotel is nice, spacious accommodations with huge bathroom and kitchenette too!! It is a GREAT deal at the right price. And conveniently located. I have paid $162 and have seen as high as the $400s so it does depend. Definitely recommended at the right price.

Westin hasn't meet my price point, sorry no info there. The Best Western President and Days Inn are also conveniently located in Times SQ too and can offer some great deals. Definitely a notch below the Flatotel or Westin but in the heart of the action. And at $99 - $129 a night (occasionally) I can make do and have.

I have no real idea on this although I would call early for an appointment and have a backup number or two in my pocket. Based on the M4M ccompanion chat rooms I see no diminshed presence on Friday or Saturday nights -- maybe even more than during the week. However, it is impossible to know if anyone actually is on the other end without IMing. My gut feel though is that there are plenty of working boys working.

Let us know how your trip goes... kick ass and take names... well you know what I mean..lol :p

Tampa - thanks for the comments. The Flaototel seems to have sold out while i was pondering.

I confuse to being a novice at personal travel - most of my travel is business-related & the tab is picked up by the company, so I;m not used to shopping for rates. Do you suggest Priceline or something similar or is Travelocity good enough? (I wouldn't want to commit to a 'blind' reservation.

By blind reservation, I assume you mean the uncertainty of Priceline hotels and accommodations within a hotel. I admit that NY is the one Priceline city that leaves me a little queasy with the horror stories I have seen posted. It would depend on which is the 'hotel de jour' if there is one, as listed at biddingfortravel.com.

For your situation I recommend hotels.com, orbitz and expedia... or HooBoy's Dicount Travel --the same as Travelnow.com I think and the same inventory as hotels.com it seems. And if they are competitive with the others then he gets a piece of the action. There definitely can be differences in the $ for the same hotel. Also check the hotel site as well once you have narrowed your selections down. Some hotel sites offer a 'no lower price' guarantee and you might get better treatment if you buy thru the hotel site. And sometimes for just a little more they offer much nicer rooms than they make available to the consolidators.

Hope this helps.

Not sure what you mean by mid-priced hotels... but during the busy summer months, it is not easy to find a low rate in the middle of Times Square.

The lowest prices are usually Days Inn, Belvedere, and Best Western President... but they are not the most luxurious. They do all meet your criteria for ease of escort entrance, though.

I have also had decent experiences at Crowne Plaza, Doubletree Suites, and Millenium Broadway... but these can be VERY pricey if you don't happen to find a special internet rate or something.

Good luck and have fun.

You are perhaps a little late for the best rates except thru priceline. The Westin rooms are quite nice and I got an email this week about some really good rates, but weekends can be tough. I often stay at the Hilton Times Square on 42nd but their security can be an issue, although the last two escorts had no problem even though they were checking room keys at the elevators. Marriott Marquis Renaissance and Doubletree Suites are also all right there among the others that are mentioned above but they all tend to be pricey.

The Times Square area the hotels tend to be more expensive on the weekends and cheaper during the week. Hotels that cater more to the business traveler tend to be just the opposite. I got an excellent room at the Millenium Hilton for $179 a few weeks ago. It was surprisingly convenient since the E subway end of the line is literally at their front door and you are at the Port Authority-8th and 42nd- literally in 10 minutes.

I've never had an issue finding someone on Saturday night.

RE: Advice on a New York weekend - ESCORTS

Well, I decided that my need for a vacation and my own peace of mind take precedence, so I booked myself into the Westin at Times Square - looks interesting!

Now - time to line up the entertainment! Recommendations for friendly guys with deepthroating skills who are comfortable with a little aggressive play as well as cuddling? I've emailed Rick (of course!) and am eyeng Scot Adler & Brian Green. Other suggestions? particularly interested in a toned/muscular black or Latino guy or a white guy with some real muscle - types that are rare in my area. I've spent most of my life in a Southern college town - sometiems a little variety is nice! }(

I spend about a week in NYC every month on business. One of the hotels that I use is on 47th, just steps off Broadway---The Edison Hotel.

It is definately an older hotel, but the rooms are clean and in generally good condition. Ask for a "corner room" as they tend to be larger. Rates are EXCELLENT---I have paid as low as $104 and up only to $139. Rates on their own website seem to be better than Orbitz or Hotels.com. (Edisonhotel.com) If you plan to visit the Gaiety Theatre, it's right next door on 48th Avenue.

For my next trip, the first week of August, I booked at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers, 53rd Ave @ 7th avenue. Rate there is $169/nite. It may be a bit farther uptown than you would like, but it definately is still a contender in the Times Square area. PS The Sheraton Manhattan is a bit closer to Times Square and had the same rate as the Towers. A good plus to either of these Sheratons is that they award Starwood points. The Edison is not affliated with any guest rewards programs.

Another Sheraton is at 37th/Park--The Sheraton Russell. It is much smaller than most Sheratons, but provides a free continental breakfast and appetizers at cocktail hour, at least during the week. I got an email from them this morning about a $139/nt rate available during these dates: July 18-20, 22-25, 29-31 and August 8-10, 12-14, 19-23. The rooms here can be very small, but it is a great place to stay if you like smaller hotels.

As for escorts, I'm a bottom and have found a few really great tops in NYC. If you'd be interested in a recommendation for some top guys, feel free to contact me. (And if you're a top, and looking for a fun bottom, PLEASE contact me!) :+ :+ :+

"What about a somewhat young 36yo gay guy if you are alone what are some good gay clubs?"

Spida, I'd start in Chelsea at SBNY http://www.splashbar.com --- then take in XL http://www.XLNewYork.com -- A "36yo gay guy" will have a blast.

"Anyone in town want to meet up

please feel free to email me through this site."

If you're still in NYC on Monday, join Foxy, John Pela, Jackhammer, and me for Gaeity Monday. We'll be there for the 1:30 show.

Enjoy your visit and don't forget your umbrella.

Seeker, The Westin Hotel is a good choice. It's been open for 2 years and is in a great location. You'll be near all public transportation, restaurant row (46th/9th), 42nd Street, La Fleurs (41st and 9th), and the Gaiety... The Times Square W is my favorite, but you'll be happy at the Westin.

Enjoy your time in NYC.
