I just don't get how you can exchange 2 dozen emails with someone, exchange an address, and phone number...but then when a little bit of time goes by they don't hear from me, suddenly they have other plans. Just so impatient. I bet they drive the same way, impatient, ready to run a bitch off the road.

That was exactly what happened today. I've been communicating with someone thru email all week. The deal was to confirm with me by phone, mainly so I have a phone number as everything was being communicated by email. That was simply for me to have something more reliable than just an email. Although I take some responsibility I did not realize the texts of the confirmation until later in morning, the appointment was still over 3 hours away in the afternoon AND, we had already communicated the plan all day thru email yesterday.

It's like some people are so quick to assume things and quick to make other plans. It's like, unless I said no, the plans should have remained the same, and eventually, common sense would say I'm not just looking at my phone while you're texting me and purposely ignoring you.

One has to be in 24/7 work mode to have to constantly keep communication between texts and emails. People ask why I have two phones, it's because I don't always desire to have my ad phone in my personal space/time. I've been getting text messages and email notifications round the clock, all week long. And when only 1 has resulted in an appointment, those beeps and chirps become like a white noise. So Do I not deserve to sleep, eat, drink and not answer a message for a few hours? I could see if the appointment time was near or already passed...but well before the time?

This relates back to my reply in your other thread about last minute bookings.

Regardless of the industry, everyone should be able to distance themselves from their work life. I have had one or two guys get upset that I didn't respond to them within 60 seconds or less like I provided a communication guarantee of some kind. I promptly told them that if they required that level of service that during our session I would be on my phone the entire time not paying attention to them so I could provide everyone else that same level of service. That quickly changed their tune.

Also keep in mind you'll run into a few potential clients who like the idea of hiring but have no intention of doing so. You'll get those fellas every so often. Just brush it off, keep their number on your list and be cautious when attempting to schedule them next ( or require a deposit before going further ).

Hey kurtis, thanks a mil for responding. You couldn't of said it better. I'm starting to question the thought process of the people who are communicating these days. A person is possibly with friends, family, or any of the same things clients do in their personal time, including being in another appointment.

In my case, I also have 2 phones. It allows me to be omnipresent and invisible at the same time. My ad phones plays a long song when I receive text message, so I'm sure not to miss any important texts. But I had change it to beeps as I was starting to hate my favorite song. I had a text yesterday at 7:30 on SUNDAY MORNING asking if I'm available. For outcall. This was the morning after I was up til 3 am from an appointment the night before. Of course by the time normal business hours began (Noon on Sunday) he couldn't meet.

Actually, what is wrong with a 7:30 AM text? The prospective client didn't know you were up until 3 AM the night before.

I LOVE morning sex and if I had a window of opportunity and made the call or sent the text it was because I was horny and wanted some fun. How would I know that YOUR "normal business hours" begin at noon on Sunday? What are they during the week? Does your ad explicitly state business hours? By noon on Sunday I've been up for hours, done most of my errands, cleaned my apartment, etc.

Besides, this is a business and if you want clients you do have to work a bit to be open to them.

Well, from the other side, the last couple of guys I've seen have changed the dates/times at the last minute. One mixed up the dates and I actually was down at his hotel before he realized it, the others plans changed and just a couple hours before we were scheduled to meet, we rearranged. Both made it up to me and were very pleasant about it, but that does happen. A few years ago, a guy flaked on our scheduled appointment, and I took a shot and texted another guy I'd seen recently, who was available, late, at a moment's notice.

No I don't, no I don't. I don't have to be open to waking up at 7:30. At my former banking job, yes. Not a man of the night. I've had this conversation before. I. AM. NOT. A. MORNING. PERSON. The perks of this job is that 99.100% of calls are afternoons and evenings. Not 7:30 am on Sunday. That's silly and selfish for someone to do. It's common sense for someone to know that's not a time to be contacting an escort, or any human being. My Sunday mornings have usually been church, spent the night at a boyfriends house, or like you just said...running errands, and cleaning apartment. Even if I'm in a hotel and checkout time is at 11 am or noon, I won't let anyone come before 9 or 10 am. And no one ever really asks to do so.

Absolutely ridiculous for someone to think otherwise. I have a Sunday regular back home. A regular. As in a client. This guy hardly ever calls me on any other day except Sunday. And it's between noon and 1 pm that he calls. I never had to tell him to do that, it's common sense. Not impulse. Waking up and feeling horny and calling an escort at 7:30 am on Sunday is impulsive, and rude.

The ONLY exception is if a client planned it like 1 or 2 nights ahead of time, and I was able to plan my night before....or in some cases, I've preferred to stay up all night to accomodate an early morning appointment. Hell, make an it an overnight and we can have sex the night before and the next morning. Point is, I just don't like my phone going off that early in the morning.

Well there ya go. It does happen. But it doesn't mean it will happen. I think the guy in this parable got insecure and impatient from other guys failing on their end of the agreement, that he jumped the gun and made other plans before consenting with me. And in Florida, this is not the first time I've been sacrificed over what someone else did to them. They've had some bad experiences, and then give us a hard time and make us jump thru hoops. Or, like my client in Orlando explained to me...people in Big vacation destination cities have all these options of activities to do, that they can't make up their mind on which one to do.

And the guy who was available late at a moments notice as your plan B, that's great that it worked. But perhaps you should have just stuck with him from the start. Sometimes you don't need to play the field all the time. just stick with the guys who are good to you. Then again, I know new and traveling escorts like myself benefit from the business....but dont get into the pattern of calling plan Bs on a moments notice. Because some people will pick up on that and resent you for it. Some may even charge extra for that after hours emergency service.

I know that sounds cold, but remember, the flake got the courtesy of being scheduled, but the reliable guy got the "get here in 5 minutes in 10 inches of snow at 11 pm" call.
