Sooo About that Rentmen Website

Please forgive me If I sound Naive/Still new but I still am having trouble figuring out why Rentboy was shut down YET Rentmen seems to be MUCH more explicit. I mean some of the ads seem pretty Vulgar...?

 

I've been relying on other websites and regulars since Rentboy shutdown, However am thinking of Advertising there. Are Face pictures required on the site?(Military guy here)...Also Isnt this just another Rentboy situation waiting to Happen?

Well on the surface at least, rentboy was shut down because of supposed money laundering and human trafficking (seemingly why dhs got involved) not because of its vulgarity.

Russ is correct. Last year, when there were all these escort busts of Craigslist and Backpage, I asked why Rentboy seems to never get targeted. Posters responded with all kinds of reasons why Rentboy was different and was immune. Well, it just shows you never know.

MIND YOU-- Backpage and Craigslist have adapted to not be shut down.

 

Craigslist

-Drops adult entertainment

-Has an iron fist with flagging in M4M sections, you have to be sooo super discreet sometimes clients don't even pick up on professional ads)

 

Backpage

-Drops the use of major credit cards (then all credit cards)

-Now resorts to bitcoins & other 3rd party "monies"

-Now accepts mail "Mail Order/Money Orders for backpage dollars"

-Accepts personal checks

(Less money trails will be provided)

 

I'm sure all these websites got similar warnings before hand, there's always red flags. Thats why when Rentboy asked me for a picture of my ID I declined using the website. Rentmen, has my ID but was alot less specific on information they actually needed.

 

Shit even Adam4adam adapted before and after the shut down.

Massagem4m was left running in circles after RB shut down, but they've been adapting for years. (having Therapeutic/Sensual/Erotic massage types) then they voided anything explicit and starting running fake ads.

 

Let me stop before I start crying. I miss when backpage was EASY AS F*CK and you didn't have to worry about.

 

p:s: are we allowed to swear on the forum, could i of said fuck? I swear alot and no ones ever reprimanded me, so with that said are my F bombs okay, or nah?

I love the RENTMEN site and I am spending a lot of time in various other venues and forums trying to inform potential clients of the very existence of the site! I use Craigslist and Scruff to direct guys to my page at Rentmen. The investment in time is paying off. The average typical male closeted married client looking for super discretion is not likely to find or go to a site such as Rentmen without being promted or tipped off to its' existence. Some do but not many......It is the same with daddysreviews ! I mention it to people and they say " What??" One guy told me last week about 4 consectutive bad escort experiences. I asked him had he heard about Daddys andhe said, "What is that?" In the post rentboy world we escorts again have to HUSTLE. I kind of like it. It is like the good ol days again!

i'm becoming tired of the available advertising directory options. rentboy was special and the surviving existing avenues aren't quite as easy to work with.

 

i've been putting more effort into my personal website lately. it seems that in the post-rentboy era, a spirit of independent-minded entrepreneurialism and an eye for web design and production can go a long way. at least i'm finding that to be the case.

I've read/heard about it too, but to be honest for money laundering get a store or a restaurant. I think they just didn't bribe the right folks, we'll never know.
