Why select, as coverboy, a person with a negative review? What is the logic, if any, used to select a "coverboy"?

Hooboy selects the coverboy. I believe the details are in the FAQ.

 

Guys who've been coverboy in the previous 12 months are not eligible, so from what's left of that day's reviews the other criteria are applied. (Must show face.)

 

He takes into account recent selections and tries to present a variety of types.

 

Selection as coverboy is not based on the reviews nor does it imply endorsement. It means they got lucky that day. (Which is arguable with a negative review because more guys are likely to read it.)

Actually, if this is correct, that is a NEW rule.

 

Small Town John was coverboy within six months in 2002 and one month apart in 2003. Kristian, for example, was coverboy twice within a two month period in 2002 and within a six month period in 2003.

 

Finally, Devon was coverboy twice within three months in 2002 and three times in 2003, one of those times also barely one month apart. He has been coverboy six times within a 2 year period.

 

These are just examples that come to mind, I am sure that there are many more.

Sorry. In a hurry and didn't proofread. Once/month is the policy rather than once/year, I think, but if he only has 3 pics to choose from on a given day he'll slip that bit.
