I wished I had seen this forum sooner. I found this site and this thread while doing some post-experience, post-encounter research. Basically, I felt so uncomfortable that I thought..."there must be something published out there" such as a review. I also thought..."how can I prevent someone else from being scammed." Then I found this information on M4M Forum and it was a 100% match. I registered for this message forum so that I can inform others through this update (plus, I don't always feel comfortable posting a negative review on the advertising site). I ran into this pack in California in March 2016. I travel quite a bit, and enjoy the comfort of getting a massage on a frequent basis. So I am very familiar with the unwritten "rules of the road" so to speak. It is important to me that a therapist's actions align with his words (i.e., truth in advertising). Based on what I have encountered, these guys are not the norm. Unfortunately, everything that has been described in the above threads is accurate. Their published amount for a massage is average/normal...but that's where "normal" stops. They prefer to come to you in a pair (offering a low rate for 2nd guy), demand amount up front immediately upon arrival, aggressively up-sell during visit, their personal photos don't match (yes...guys are good looking, however the photos just don't match what is posted online), very short visit duration (20 minutes), and the massage quality is very poor. Overall, for me, they were not interested in me as a client....more of a grab and run setup. The word "scam" fits my morning experience with them.

While I encountered two of the four, the profiles of the other two (e.g., travel schedule) match the traveling pack. Post experience, I now see that they advertise on Men4rentnow, Adam4Adam, and Rentmen.

One would think it would be easier for these guys simply to work as legitimate escorts (singly or together) and use their own pictures rather than run this scam. They certainly are persistent.

Welcome to the forum Bingo. Sorry it was under these less than ideal circumstances. At least in the future you will have this resource to minimize the risks involved.

My guess is that there is some organizational brains behind this mess.

My first reaction was the same as yours, Desperado. If you have enough savvy to post photos on websites, show up on time, and not be on drugs - there's a relatively low bar to get over to be a decent escort - why not actually just build a reputation based on decent customer service and legitimate reviews? That's not only what most escorts do, it's what most businesses like restaurants on Tripadvisor do.

My guess is that somebody involved in this, perhaps somebody who can't escort themselves, but who has a credit card and business sense, has a group of young guys that keeps changing. The guys themselves may not even be able to organize their way out of a paper bag, but they can show up, look close enough to the pictures to seem legit, and provide some kind of service, even if it is often unsatisfactory.

For a few weeks last year I followed the "Pack" every day throughout the day, and you could see on their Rentmen ads how all the escorts in the Pack tended to log in at the same time, and change their location in sync, suggesting that there was one person actually doing the administration of the ads for several young guys. However they do it, the business model obviously makes sense, because they stay in business.

My experience with this last year was a mixed bag, and not something I felt made sense to continue. To their credit, RentMen did pull ads for one guy I targeted, who was really shitty at the "fake ID" thing - he used a picture that he clipped from a British bodybuilding video. But I got nowhere with my bitchy emails nagging about The Traveling Pack. I particularly got nowhere with the suggestion that given the dangers to websites that the attack on Rentboy exposed, it may make sense to reach out to customers and come up with a reasonable set of standards that customers buy into and help enforce.

I can understand that businesses would not want to bother with asking their customers for feedback on their policies. But for the fact that most successful businesses actually do at least try to create the impression that they welcome their customers to be in a feedback loop on their policies. It didn't seem to me Rentmen was particularly interested in or open to that. The Traveling Pack is working merrily away, there is still no easy way to register a complaint to Rentmen, to my knowledge, and no set of written standards like what Daddy has.

Having said that, now let me offer the alternative perspective. One of the escorts I complained repeatedly about in emails to Rentmen last year was Sean Andrews:

http://rentmen.com/Seandrew/reviews/

At the time, last year, the copy in his ad read exactly the same as the copy in other Pack member ads, and they had exactly the same schedule, again suggesting that one administrator ran the ads for all the guys. Rentmen did inform me that they had verified each of the ads. Since everyone seems to agree that there is in fact a group of young men involved, and we all know escorts' work aliases are very unlikely to match their actual id's, it is reasonable to me to believe that Rentmen did in fact verify ids for each of the young men, and the id's probably loosely matched the online photos. Nobody has suggested Rentmen run a DNA test, so how far they should be expected to go to confirm that the person verified by the id is the person in the ad is an interesting question.

The pattern is still the same. As noted above by Bingo, one of Sean's current traveling companions is Zack Thomas:

http://rentmen.com/zackthomas/reviews/

Also as noted above, the ads run on multiple sites concurrently. One site not mentioned in Bingo's post was RentMasseur:

http://rentmasseur.com/zackthomas

The most obvious difference I can see compared to last year is, if I recall right, Sean had maybe one review last year. Now he has nine, of which 4 are excellent, and 5 are poor. Zack has 6 reviews: 3 excellent, and 3 poor. So I think Rentmen has a leg to stand on in arguing that they do some kind of check, and they offer some type of "buyer beware" feedback mechanism. The fact that about half the "customers" give the Pack members the lowest rating suggest that this is a scam, it stays viable despite the bad reviews, and it will just keep going, as long as the ads are paid for and there are more "customers" to be duped. Rentmen can argue that "customers" who hire guys who have consistently poor reviews shouldn't be surprised if they get poor service.

A few questions, that may just be covering old ground, since I usually don't pay attention to this forum:

1. Has anyone noticed any positive changes to Rentmen in this regard?

2. At some point later last year I thought I read somewhere on this forum that Rentmen did come up with some new id verification requirements for all escorts. Is that correct? And if so, can someone put up a link to the thread discussing those requirements?

Thanks. And welcome, Bingo. :)

Steven, your argument makes sense to me. I have not personally noticed any changes to Rentmen other than the fact that they eliminated their detailed reviews, which I suppose I can understand. It is likely that someone at the top of the "traveling pack" has all the brains in the organization, but they probably do not extend to the rank and file.

I am so glad that I recently found this site - it has been very helpful, as I have been robbed a couple of times, and because some sessions have not been what was advertised. Here is my two cents on Sean Andrew. I was in LA on business last year, saw his ad, and reached out to him. I provided my name, phone number, a recent picture, and email address, and I explained what I was looking for and detailed my availability. I waited 48 hours for a response, which I did not receive, so I moved on to my second choice.

Well, 2 days ago, I received a text message from a number that I did not recognize, and it read "Avail in Chicago until Sunday with two new guys. Pics avail upon request let me know if interested". I happen to be in Chicago on business, so I was a bit confused, and somewhat terrified because I had not reached out to anybody, as I was not looking to set a up a session. I did a Google search on the number, and landed on this blog, and on this site. Now I know who the number belongs to.

After I read the entire thread, I replied to the text message. It took several hours to get a response, which was simply three pictures of hot guys. I asked "rates, into, availability, and do I choose, or is someone sent at random?" He replied, "you choose". I replied "rates, into, and availability", and he replied "call".

I called the number, and got a computer generated voice mail box. I called again, and got the same thing. I texted the number and said "I just tried to call twice, and was forwarded to a voice mail. What's the deal?" He replied: "it didin't ring on my end." I replied "call me".

I did not receive a call, nor a text. However, this morning, I received a text asking when we can meet. I did not reply.

It all seems flakey and unsafe, so I am going to leave well enough alone. I am very happy to have found this site, and will now use it before I set up future appointments.

@StudSponsor

welcome to the site....you're at the best one of its kind on the 'net.....

I also get occasional "available in....." texts just like yours because I did contact "Seandrew" once several months ago.....it doesn't bother me too much and I just ignore......during our first contact, he did send me a selfie with my email address written on a paper in it, so there's that.....and we had a decent chat on the phone.....but later communication was difficult ("call me at 6pm....tomorrow").....I wanted to meet just to put all this rumor to rest, but too much trouble

Your narrative is 100% consistent with my experience of a year ago. Save yourself the time, trouble, money and aggravation. At best these guys are incompetent and unreliable--more likely, they are a total scam. There are lots of other fish in the sea.

Hi All ....I'm probably beating a dead horse here ....but gotta ask ....has any confirmed member (not a newbie) EVER meet with any of these guys .....or willing to admit they were taken advantaged of or harmed by one of them. With all that's been written (esp in ref: Seandrew for me) ....if they are a "dangerous" risk ....why does rentmen allow them to still post?? I guess if they are willing to meet in an open public space or such "I'm hoping" they may be a legit possibbity. I know I myself don't post often here but I've been around on here and servicestation (but not in a long time on SS) and have benefitted from the conversations and provided help ...so glad we have this tool available to us. Thanks in advance for any updates. Tb

First of all, I'm sorry about the fact that you go robbed, that's a crime and I wish we could report it. Welcome to the site and please name names to warn all of us about those guys.

Now let me change the subject... about that pack of lazy guys.
