From what I'm getting, one is redirected to a holding page for the site.

Yes, I have been able to access it intermittently throughout the day. Here is a post from one of the rentmen admins explaining the situation:

It's bizarre... seems some can in NYC and others can not. Had a friend of mine check and he also gets the default page. When I access the site via a proxy, it appears but is often the case with proxies, I can not use most of the site functions. Tried calling them, e-mailing them, etc. I wonder if TimeWarner NYC is blocking the site. From what I know, Rentmen, the company, is actually based out of Amsterdam.

For those having issues with loading the website, I've instructed them to clear their 'cache'. By doing so many have said it corrects their issue & are able to load the website normally.

I'm not affiliated in ANY way with RentMen, however in doing some basic checking the site itself is not located within the United States. It appears to be located in Amsterdam based on looking at traceroutes. The domain name itself appears to be registered in Great Britain.

Ok! I cleared my history.

 

In DC I now get the Dutch redirect page for RM, but can access my "buddy's" RM page directly.

 

Don't understand it but whatever.

It might depend on your internet provider. I reminded some site months ago -can't remember what it was-but I couldn't access it on my phone unless I used a wifi connection and not the phone's native internet connection.

I cleared my cache several times last night, along with taking other common sense steps when encountering a problem such as this -- to no avail. However, as of 3:30EST I am able to access the site fully.

This afternoon, approx 3pmEST, I attempted to access the site and this time had success. As best as I can tell, Rentmen performed some form of site maintenance yesterday and it may be that the tasks completed or updates undertaken had an effect on how various ISPs reach the site. Irish69 / Rick informed me that he made the Webmaster aware that users located in various states could not access the site. Perhaps messaging Rick here to provide him with your location and ISP will resolve access issues in your area. Or trying e-mailing the site directly via rentmen@rentmen.com (with the same specifics) will also do the trick.

You could try a different browser. I can now access with both IE and Firefox, and try clearing your history and cookies again.

Rentmen informed me that for now site upgrades are complete and that most ISPs' DNS have adopted the new protocols. Most users should be able to access the site.

Yesterday, 8.29.15, I wrote to one of my favorite escorts who's also a Facebook amigo of mine. He typed in website and his name; I finally managed to get the site. Afterwards, I tried and continued to access all that prevails there. There has been some modification of ads. We no longer find out what the escort is "into." But I guess now when we ring or email we can find out that way.
