Going Solo

In the spring, I'll be visiting family in Southern California and thought of visiting Palm Springs and staying at one of the gay resorts. While I've stayed a three times at one, it has always been in the company of an escort. And while I've not paid close attention, I don't recall seeing guys there alone.

 

So does anyone have any experience with staying at one of these locations alone?

In Palm Springs, I've stayed solo at Pura Vida. The sexual "vibe" there is low-key. Nice property.

I have been attending the Palm Springs Weekend now for several years. I have stayed at The East Canyon Hotel & Spa and The Casa Ocotillo, both are top rated gay resorts. I have stayed solo and with escorts and I enjoyed myself both ways. At lot will depend on you. I'm the type who talks to people in grocery store check out lines and therefore had no difficulty speaking to strangers around the pool and at breakfast. I have found that the majority of guys staying at these resorts are there on vacation and are very open to meeting and enjoying new holiday friends.

I have stayed solo at three different gay inns, but find that the happy hour for guests at Inndulge has always provided an easy way to start conversations with other guests. However, as Epigonos has said a whole lot depends on you and your willingness to start a conversation.

Stayed at Helios. Plent of escorts alone Ace, Mike Cruise, Legandary Dave. Also saw Alec Andrews, Tristsn Baldwin and Steven Draker. Was PS weekend.

I've stayed alone at All Worlds, Canyon Club, Chaps Inn and Helios, and always have a great time. I've found that most guys staying there, as well as local guys there on day passes, are very friendly, and love to chat and make new friends as much as I do. I've met some great guys hanging out in the pool, jacuzzi, etc.
