I believe I may have been Marco Rossi's very last client, at least through RB. Right after I met him his ad disappeared and never returned. It was in NYC. He came to my house in Brooklyn. He was living in Queens with his parents.

I saw pictures of him years ago that really turned me on. When I saw his ad in 2013 with some of those same pictures I somehow naively thought he was going to look like that so many years later. Well, he probably wasn't on steroids at that point because he wasn't muscular at all. He was in OK shape, but just like a slim guy on the street. Wow, that's sad. 20 yrs ago he was so fresh faced and innocent he was GENUINELY surprised I even knew who he was or that I'd even seen any of the small handful of movies he'd made at that point. Most of the current porn actors are in/out of the industry like a flash in the pan- and that's not because THEY want it that way...it's because the gay porn industry caters to the 'NEXT' guy. The 'NEXT' actor. The days of 'stars' doing dozens and dozens of movies are over- they'd rather have diversity, and a ton of actors with just a few scenes apiece. Furthermore, from a marketing standpoint...once they see on their end that one guy is selling well...they might have him back...but they'll group his scenes on a DVD(if it's even going to DVD; everything not tends to be digital) with weaker scenes; 'haloing' the effect of that one scene, to carry material that wouldn't sell as well.

 

Anyhow. Back to naked men who like sex. I ardently believe that being good on camera/good on stage has no correlation to escorting. Not to throw rocks, but look at Marcus Mojo / Landon Mycles. I'd like to think I have carte blanche to talk openly about him, since I've shot with him a few times. Great looking kid, could certainly perform when needed...but I know for a fact he's burned some guys for serious $$$ on this end of the fence. I think alot of the big named pornstars kinda let it go to to their head..and that's why they don't relate well to clients.

Sucks to hear that about Marcus Mojo. He's one of my all time favorites. Would love to hire him, but can't seem to get his contact info. But maybe I should think twice since he has no reviews anywhere. I think the only porn actors that I can vouch for would be Andrew Justice, Robert Van Damme (before he went away), and Pat Bateman.

+1. Totally different skill set involved escorting vs. doing porn. However, I get the sense that it's easier for a really good escort to crossover and become a really good porn star, than it is for a really good porn star to crossover and become a really good escort.

 

Agree. While I am neither (lol!), I'd think it's much harder to be an escort. A porn star is in a very controlled environment, he works with a professional crew, and he will be working with another hot guy who also knows the deal. An escort doesn't know who will show up in the hotel room and how they will behave, and it's just the two of them (usually).

I have been reading Conner Habib's blog recently. When he was escorting and doing porn, I was somewhat interested.
