There is no "secret" representative. Most or all of the PlanetJockboy ads say "Jockboy _____," and you know the guy is part of the PJBs stable. They have a website as well.

 

This really is not a big deal. The advantage of the representative is that he does give you more security that you will be meeting with a guy (a jockboy!) who (1) looks like his pictures, (2) is willing to do the things listed in his ad, and (3) has a third party (the rep) monitoring his client satisfaction level.

 

I have always spoken with the Jockboy himself before seeing someone, and the rep has been OK with that.

 

For me, the diminishing role of agencies is a bad thing--I have had some of my best experiences (ever) from Maximum and PlanetJockboys.

I don't understand why him working for an agency is off putting. And yes, in street lingo an escort agency acts as a pimp though calling an agency a pimp is rather severe.

 

When agencies were much more prevalent a lot of guys would only hire through an agency. Back when one of the best agencies was around (Maximum Escorts) I would go to New York and only hire through Maximum - and rarely had less than a stellar experience. I got to know the owners of the agency, they knew what I liked and if there were issues they handled them and several times actually sent me an escort free of charge and they paid the escort themselves.

I used to often hire from agencies. In New York I used to hire from Maximum on every visit. I would make one phone call, request a specific guy from their site, give them the time and my location. They would call back and confirm. At the appointed hour a handsome young man would call me from the lobby and I would have a great time. My opinion is a good escort is the same as a good cashier or a good car salesman or a good doctor. Once you find an escort you like, you will keep going back and recommend him to your buddies. The agencies have to invest a lot of time and money to weed through the guys. Very few last more than a few weeks or months. Some go on to make huge sums of money and enjoy what they are doing.

I saw Jackson during his stay in DC and I agree with the positive feedback. I think he looks soooooo much better in person than in his pics. I know it sounds cliché but its true. Thank you all for your nice words regarding Jackson ... he is a beautiful young man indeed. As well as your nice words about Jockboys, now in our 15th year.

 

I always like the opportunity to address you all in this forum when a topic comes up that catches my eye... and certainly being called a pimp caught my eye. haha..

Let me give you a little history.... Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I too was a rentboy, however there was no internet, no cell phones, etc. As an enterprising young college student, I, along with two of my friends (also students), would place ads in the Blade and travel to DC on weekends to escort. One weekend only two of us came home, because the third, Ronny, was beaten to death by a client. I walked away from this very profitable business that day, and didn't return until year 2000, when my other friend, who was running a small agency at the time, asked for my help putting into place a system that protected his guys, since many had also been victimized. Eventually he grew tired of the hassles that go with running and agency (trust me there are many) and I took over. Over the years Jockboys has continued to evolve, but functions on the same founding principles, one being that escorting should be safe and mutually beneficial to both the client and the escort. In the past fifteen years, I have had no incidence of any violence toward one of my guys or clients. That I am very proud of.

So why use an agency?

1. Security. If one of my guys "takes the money and runs," steals, is rude, violent or shows up drunk.. you have someone to complain to who will do something about it. Year ago I had a guy that worked for me who did a deal "on the side" with a client, where he was suppose to fly to Texas for a weekend. He asked for the money upfront and the client sent him 3,000 bucks. Well guess what.. he was a no show. Client calls me. I could have said, too bad, you shouldn't have booked around me, but I helped him retrieve his money. Who's gonna help you do that with an independent?

2. More security... I know you have someone at your house, I know that persons name and where they live. Chances are they won't commit a crime while there... Same holds true for my guys... I know where they are and when they should be done. They check in with me when done. I also run background checks on the guys that we represent.

3. Yet more security... If you want to know what the guy you're hiring is like... ask me. Also, I tell my guys, "if you say you'll do it in your profile, you should be prepared to do it with a client." Also, I take most of their photos myself, or take them to the photographer to have them done, so pretty good chance you're gonna get the guy in the photos.

4. More professionalism... I have a very strict code of behavior my guys should follow. If they don't, they don't work for long. That code is centered around providing the best service they can to you, while keeping safe. If I get too many complaints about a guy not providing good service, he's gone if he can't be trained to do better. Also my experienced guys mentor my new guys... so you are likely to get a new person with a lot of knowledge on how things are done.

5. Yet more security. I require my guys get tested regularly (most of the time every two months). If they got something, they don't work until its cured.. if its not curable, they usually are released.

 

I could go on and on.. but ultimately the decision is yours. I know some people are afraid of agency databases etc.. we don't have one. Most often, as my guys tell me, clients don't want to use an agency because they can't get away with as much as they can with independents (haggle prices, not paying, etc). A lot of my guys use to be independents...so they know.

 

One last thing though regarding what this pimp does for his guys. My guys have to come into this job with a goal. I believe this job should be used to better their lives, not extend their fratboy days into their 30's. In the 15 years I have done this, 8 of my guys have gone on to be doctors, 21 lawyers, 12 mental health counselors, 21 substance abuse counselors, 7 actors, 9 CPAs, 44 business executives. 77 of them are married with children now, with 63 of those being home owners. My guys treat each other as friends and some as family. I keep in contact with most, I'm godfather to 8 of their children. I have never charged more than 15% in commission, the current rate is 10%. I have sent 29 of them through substance abuse treatment over the years, on my dime. 15 have lived in my home when they had no where else to go when they first started. I treat them as family members, friends, and human beings.. so if that's what a pimp is to you, then I wear that title proudly.
