Things that would turn me off from hiring:

1) I would expect to do most of the conversation and planning via email, but I would want one brief conversation on the phone to just her his voice & make sure he sounds lucid and not like a criminal. If he refused to talk even for less than 5 min AFTER we have an established session time in the 2-3 wks, I would seriously consider canceling.

2) Not answer emails in a punctual manner- 48 hrs is reasonable, right?

Oh, wow. I so respect BabyBoomers and azdr0710 opinions, but I couldnt disagree more. Where else but here on this forum can we hear real, live escorts opinions? Without this forum, there is virtually no other place to hear their perspective. And I think learning their perspective is very helpful to clients. Escorts are human beings and being an escort is tough work. Learning their side of things helps us to not make unnecessary errors in interacting with the escort, errors that ultimately hurt the client. No one goes to "Client School" where one learns how to act like a sophisticated, reasonable client. Its easy for clients, especially newbies, to make mistakes. This forum helps clients to be better clients. In the same way, this website can be a great place for escorts to learn how clients think, their needs, and how to best interact with them.

Just my reading, Josh, but I think you may have over-interpreted what Boomer and azdr said.

 

I don't think Boomer was suggesting escorts shouldn't post. Sounded to me like he was just saying that some posts dissuade him from hiring some guys. Since posts to this Forum are one more way of gaining insight into compatibility, that's inevitable. Of course, there's a flip side to that coin; I can say for myself that, in one case, an escort's posts to this Forum were precisely the thing that prompted me to hire him.

 

I also don't think azdr was knocking all self-promotion on this Forum. After all, the Escort Travels section is specifically promotional, and an escort's contributions to threads on the Forum give him exposure and can help generate interest. Sounded to me like azdr's objection was only to "too much" self-promotion--or, translated into marketing-speak--For any given brand in any given market, there is a saturation point.
