Perhaps Chris will return after he takes a needed break. He seems willing to be real rather than post the same ole same ole cut-and-paste group-think. The only reason I'm still around is because I have taken several lengthy breaks from this place.

I do remember this particular thread as it's true they were going at each others throats it seems back and forth which was in the end pointless. Later on, it was Marylander (due to more then one reason I suppose) was timed-out first. Now whether Chris could be timed-out or just had the account deactivated(which would be a surprise if that's the case) remains a mystery.

I hate to be contrary. But I've been around since Hooboy days too-can't remember if I actually posted or only lurked. Over the years I definitely remember seeing at least one previous 'Guest'. There might have been a few more. But I've never seen many. The one that comes to mind right off the bat was on a very old thread that I had come across for some reason.

The funny thing about Marylander being in timeout is that #1 anotherjohnindupont and McLeanspider seem to be on timeout too. Someone recently supposed they were all the same person. #2. Usually when someone is on timeout it says 'timeout' under their screen name in their posts. But I don't see that this time.

If you follow the link below you'll see that one can be converted to the rank of "guest". Most recently in late 2013 ... remember our friend "VeryMarried"?

I wish Chris well. I don't know him, but he's come across as a serious person ("real," as jawjateck says) and I have admired his willingness to stick his neck out to express, explain and defend his point of view. Agree or disagree, it was a chance to learn from one another.

I would like to point out a feature that most forums have - the 'ignore' list. It comes in really handy. When there is that absymally-stupid forum member that drives you crazy, yet you don't have the self-discipline to ignore his/her posts, you just give up and add the offender to your 'ignore' list; he/she vanishes into oblivion, out of sight and out of mind.
