Subway Jared Fogle Raided For Child Porn

The former director of a foundation started by ex-Subway pitchman Jared Fogle begged a judge not to send him to "rot in the landfill of lost souls" before she sentenced him Thursday to 27 years in a federal prison for producing child pornography.

 

Russell Taylor, whose production of child pornography of 12 children played a key role in Fogle's criminal case, choked back tears as he asked U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Walton Pratt for a sentence short enough for him to someday reunite with his family.

 

"Please do not allow me to rot in the landfill of lost souls," Taylor told Pratt, his voice cracking after he apologized to his victims and said he was deeply remorseful.

Subway pitchman-turned-prisoner Jared Fogle was left bloody and beaten by another inmate during a rec yard brawl earlier this year, TMZ reported Wednesday.

 

Fogle, 38, who is serving a 15-year sentence at the Englewood federal prison in Littleton, Colorado, after pleading guilty last year to child porn and sex-crime charges, received a bloody nose, swollen face and multiple scratches across his neck after the violent run-in on Jan. 29, according to prison documents obtained by the gossip site.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A girl whose attorney says she’s one of the victims in the sex crimes case that led to former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle being sentenced to more than 15 years in prison is suing the disgraced Indiana man and a former associate, seeking at least $300,000 in damages.

 

The federal lawsuit filed Tuesday in Indianapolis names Fogle and the former head of his anti-obesity charity, Russell Taylor. Taylor’s wife is also a defendant in the suit, which seeks at least $150,000 in damages each from her husband and Fogle.

 

Fogle has paid restitution to his victims, but they can still sue him and seek additional money.

 

Prosecutors who charged Fogle and Taylor last year said Taylor used cameras hidden in the Indianapolis-area homes where he lived to secretly film 12 minors and shared some of the images with Fogle. The pornography was produced over a four-year period.
