A Beer brand Republica Parrillera Pilsen has erected an eye-catching billboard ad – which resembles a penis.

 

The billboard, which looks like an erection depending on the direction commuters see it from, has been grabbing the attention of Costa Rican drivers – reports The Drum.

One Reddit user said: “Great design, in my opinion. Cars driving the other way will now look in their rearview as a double take, and see ad. By having something grab your attention in both directions, they have increased the size of viewership.

I must be missing something here. It looks like a penis (or maybe a weiner?), but if it's a beer ad, I don't understand it. Two posts here have called it "brilliant" and "great design." Please explain to me!

Looks to me like a grilled hot dog (alternatively smoked sausage) on a fork with a beer bottle in the background. Doesn't seem like a strange combination to me, just a cheeky, distracting, and possibly overly clever way of pairing them.

On the South Mall of the University of Texas Campus in Austin, there are statues of famous southerners. One of the statues is of George Washington.

 

 

 

As you can see, in his left hand he is holding either a staff or a sword. If you stand in back of the statue at a certain angle, he seems to be clutching at something erect, that probably should not be either so erect or clutched at in public for all to see.

 

What makes it even funnier is there is an inscription on the pedestal that the statue was 'Erected by The Texas Daughters of Something or Another'. Talk about your Masturbation Death a Grip (http://www.curedeathgrip.com/). George's hand is made of hard, unyielding metal. It doesn't really seem to be the proper behavior for the Father Of Our Country, does it?

 

Whenever I used to pass the statue on my way across campus, I always took a look. And every time I looked, the sight always gave me a smile and sometimes even a private little giggle to myself.:rolleyes:

There's a local burger joint called "Comet Burgers". The marquee (sp?) sign is a bit curved, so when approaching it from the north, it first appears as "Come Burgers".
