We all know where that phrase came from and I'm hoping that maybe you guys can help me with 3 or four similar phrases. Umm reasonably G-ish rated phrases. It's for an advertising/fund raising campaign for a world record break attempt. I want to be able to list three or four phrases followed by something like, "many have aspired, few have actually tried, no one has actually done it." Writer's block doesn't happen to me often but it's got me now. Where the heck is that rum bottle?

I would love nothing better than to try out the whole campaign here and solicit more ideas etc., but discretion on my part and the entire team's means I can't really go into it any further. The phrases I'm looking for are not specific to what we're doing but more "recognizable" phrases like "to bodly go.......". I'm thinking there has to be other well known movie/TV/etc., phrases that have described something similar I'm just not remembering any of them right now.

As god is my witness I will never go hungry again.

That's exactly what I said coming off my first cock after a 30 year hiatus from sex with men!

This doesn't quite fit your pattern but, having found it, I think it's too good not to share:

"Do not stop thinking of life as an adventure. You have no security unless you can live bravely, excitingly, imaginatively; unless you can choose a challenge instead of competence." Eleanor Roosevelt

Which is an odd expression, since a die is not manufactured by casting, but by cutting.

With the emoticon I'm fairly sure you are making a funny. But if not 'cast' in this case = 'thrown'.

I'm sure that phrase was inspired in the Spanish motto "Plus Ultra" (go further)
