What's the range of possibilities?

I have no experience hiring a masseur. Escorts yes, but never a masseur. What is the range of possibilities when hiring a masseur from sites such as massagem4m.com, rentmasseur.com, and masseurfinder.com? I tried to google for info and mostly got stuff about John Travolta (ho hum). I've recently started noticing ads for masseurs and it's got me thinking, "Wow... I want some of that!" I see rates starting at $130 and going up from there. I'm guessing that $130 is a massage only, but what if you want more and the masseur is willing? Do you ask before you schedule? Is there a way to interpret the ad to figure out if he offers more and what that is? Do you wait until the appointment and then hope that you can negotiate something?

Whatever info you can provide would be great! I'm currently at zero on the masseur learning curve

There have been previous discussions here in the forums regarding this subject. The overall consensus is, at any given price point, there’s a VERY wide range of what you receive as part of your massage experience. Some advertisers are much more open with their ads in what they will provide. You will likely have to ask the individual masseur to clarify provided services. If you want assurance you will have to work out details before the appointment. However, my suggestion, is for your first visit to just assume you are going to receive on a “legitimate” massage at the advertised fee.

Advertisers will be either licensed or unlicensed. The licensed ones will have received extensive professional training. They may only provide purely “legitimate” massage and will typically be much more cautious in what they state in their ads since they risk loss of their license. They may even be offended if you seek, or even ask about, erotic interaction. However, they may be willing to “go further” once a trusting relationship has been developed.

Unlicensed advertisers are more likely to “go further” earlier in a hiring relationship. Maybe even the first visit. However, the quality of their “massage” will vary greatly. Some have no idea what the hell they are doing. Others are very good with a massage quality on a par with those professionally trained. Most will be in the middle regarding technique. If your interest is deep tissue or sports injury massage be VERY careful about unlicensed advertisers. That type of massage requires a very high level of skill in order to preclude tissue damage.

In all cases don’t be surprised if the therapist seeks additional fees for additional services.

I you want an escort experience then hire an escort. When I hire a masseur I want a really good massage first. Therefore I’ve developed a repeat relationship with a particular therapist. I’ve found that I’m able to totally relax knowing there is a predictable routine that he follows. I’m happy with the massage and relationship we’ve developed.

If you’re located in a big city I suggest you check for local massage therapy schools. They often have student clinics that welcome local clients for the students to practice on. It gives you an inexpensive introduction to various massage techniques at a very reasonable cost. But do not even ask about erotic massage.

I definitely recommend against hiring someone with a high fee under the assumption that they will provide a more erotic experience. I've been burned too many times making that mistake. Now if someone has a price that is high for a therapeutic only massage (or even a massage with release at the end), I have a conversation with the masseur about my desires. I am careful to not be so specific as to make it seem like I could be part of a sting operation, but I share that I've hired masseurs in the past who had a similar rate and who ended up providing a disappointing therapeutic only massage. Depending on the masseur's response, this either ends the conversation or we are able to talk enough to assure me that I won't walk away from the massage feeling ripped off. Generally speaking, however, I try to avoid guys who advertise as masseurs but then have prices that are closer to escort territory. I'd much rather hire someone who has a market rate price (or below) and then communicate in the moment if he's available for extra services for an additional fee. Some say no, but most say yes. :)

Hey Zip, I love a massage - - good luck in your efforts. I've seen some guys that explicitly state "mutual touch" allowed in their ads. Every time, if I don't initiate touch, my hand is moved to make sure I know it is OK to have some interaction.

Hey guys, thanks for the info. Clearly, getting a straight forward massage is straight forward. Going for extras is trickier. It's not like with an escort where you can have a frank conversation before the appointment. It's useful to know that. Escort options are extremely limited where I live so I was hoping that using a masseur would expand my options.

I loves me a good massage, but you just never know how these things will go. As RD says, always go with the intent of just getting a good massage, and consider everything else a nice bonus.

Most times I ask if there is a 'happy ending', but that alone does not always guarantee that the masseur will go further. As with most hires, I have found that a lot of this depends on the chemistry. Trust me, when you are laying there, and the masseur wants things to go to the next level, he will let you know, and vice versa. If you make a suggestive move, and you suddenly have crossed a line, they will gently let you know that also. Don't take any of that stuff personally, just go and enjoy the experience.
