I was on the end of another demeaning remark in a phone conversation with my friend yesterday and I took all of the above advice and confronted him about it. I was again accused of being over sensitive and told to "lighten up".

 

 

 

This is someone announcing that he does not care about your feelings. I'm glad you did what you did.
