Statistically speaking, the day is not more dangerous than any other. But even people who don't avoid black cats or fear walking under ladders can have a little fun with Friday the 13th.

Friday the 13th usually occur twice a year and some years three times and rarely once in a year. So the odds of a bad occurrence on that coming on that day in any year is between 1 in 366 to 1 in 122. So it is not surprising that there have not been any major occurrences of disasters happening on that day. In face the odds may be a bit longer in that some may choose to avoid minimally risky activities on that day. Anyone ever delay a trip so as to avoid traveling on that day?
