Thursday meetings are sorta OK because I can limp through Friday having been out late the night before.

 

Tuesday will be a stretch.

Yep, because it's the 'extra' meeting this month and for variety, it's on Tuesday. But the regular one (18th) is on Thursday.

I am looking forward to attending your Dec 18th get together if a guy from KY is welcome. Looks like I arrive in LA that afternoon with time to have dinner with you guys. Is there such a thing as Southern Hospitality in LA?

Alas,I will be attending the Rufus Wainwright concert that evening at the wiltern.

I do plan on attending the meeting on the ninth of this month however.

Next Hooville LA get together is *Tuesday*, December 9th! It'll be at Numbers, starts around 7:30 (show up later if you need to, it goes on until 10:30 or later).

 

Everybody is welcome!

 

Specifics for any first timers:

Numbers is at 8741 Santa Monica BLVD, above the Coffee Bean in West Hollywood. Parking is usually pretty easy at the public lot across from the magazine stand on the west side of the building (bring quarters). There's also valet.

 

People start gathering outside around 7 (usually the only gathering of more then 3 at the outside tables), we wander inside about 8 and SIT IN THE BACK, NEAR THE WINDOWS, other side of the wall from the restrooms, often at the only long table in the place... Don't be shy, jump in! Tony, the owner, knows the name Hooville if you have to make sure...

But we really should warn people what happens when we cross paths. The first time we met the Iraqi War started, the second time we crossed paths, in NYC, there was a Blackout. Since we are crossing paths in LA everyone should brace themselves. How long has it been since you guys had an Eartquake out there anyway?

Never more than a few days. ;-) We rarely hear about the really minor ones, but there are several every week. Snow would be FAR more remarkable. }(
