Actually saw a few news items about this, but obviously someone with very deep pockets in NY is able to keep a lid on this story - which is sad for the family of the young man who died and for his memory.

The young man was graduated with a degree in bioengineering in May 2014. Five months later, he dies. For what? What a totally depressing story. His family must be devastated. May he Rest in Peace.

I was speaking with my masseur, somebody who is very much in tune with the club scene in NY. Not that I am a Puritan, but I don't even begin to know or understand what even the names of the 'designer' drugs are. 'g', 'tina' 'MDMA', "E', 'Molly' - the list is endless. A common result seems to be a huge increase in libido, with an utter inability to 'get it up'. Users want to get fucked - BADLY. With no regard whatsoever for the consequences. It's astonishing.

I'm a little confused by the allegation that this hasn't gotten more press due to the influence of money. I'm sorry if some find my view to be callous, but this isn't the first young man to stupidly take drugs and die from an overdose. I don't see anything in the article that indicates the man who called 911 did anything nefarious such as force the young man to use drugs against his will or ignore his medical condition. (Had he neglected to call 911, that would be another story.)

I know someone who attended an "underground" NYC party, got overdosed on GHB and crystal meth, lost consciousness, got "raped" and infected with HIV.

Unfortunately, this poor 23-year young man from Brooklyn had less luck. RIP.

I'm inclined to agree with you on this point.

True, but this is one of the few times the overdose occurred in the home of a former managing director at one of the nation's top five banks.

The owner of the home in which this took place found him the next morning and, at that time, called 911. Perhaps he should have "discovered" the guest and called 911 as soon as the party ended. Wouldn't you want to check your home as soon as the party ended to make sure there were no stray guests? In addition, as Steven pointed out, the host was previously arrested for a hit-and-run while "ability impaired." I'm guessing the impairment wasn't his contact lens falling out or a broken arm.

Here's my take on all of that information: The homeowner/former bank executive is a drug addict as well. I wouldn't expect someone to behave as a normal host would. For all we know, the host passed out while the party was going strong.

The bottom line is that if one plays with fire, one might get burned. Until someone comes forward indicating that guests were unknowingly or unwillingly consuming drugs, I have to put this sad situation among the many others where young people use drugs recklessly. If the young man hadn't overdosed at this party, he probably would have done it somewhere else in short order.

I do beg to differ on the issue of the place the OD took place. If it can be shown the Reisner procured the drugs and supplied Sean with the drugs he can be held criminally liable for his death. Now the key will be if they can find a link between Reisner and the drugs, that I am sure will be difficult. I certainly would expect the family of Sean will sue and will probably receive a large settlement.

With that said, the issue of responsibility for oneself is also glossed over and we are sadden at the loss, but he is the one the entered the scene and chose to partake. The party seen certainly has taken a toll, I don't wish that on anyone.

The death of any person by a drug OD, young or old is a tragedy. It is a sad and often a very complicated situation. None of us knows this young man well enough to judge him. May he rest in peace, and may God find favor on those that loved him.

I thought he was a manager at Bartini, not a dancer as alluded to in the OP's title.

"According to real estate blog, The Real Deal, Reisner lives in a 4,000-sq-ft apartment which was created by combining five apartments in Southmoor House at 230 Central Park South.

The duplex spreads over the 16th and 17th floors and has views of Central Park. The apartment has four bedrooms, six bathrooms and space to throw parties for 100 people.

Reisner and Mr Weiderpass once turned down an offer of $15.5million in cash for the luxury home.

'Give me an excuse and I’ll throw a party,' Reisner said in the 2009 interview"

So much conjecture and so many assumptions here.

From what I understand, Sean was partying at clubs two nights in a row, then went home with the guy late into the night and the rest is history. I am not told the party took place at the guy's home; rather, at Alegria and Berlin......
