Stephen Collins (7th heaven) a pedophile?

After 27 years of marriage, the '7th Heaven' actor's wife claimed she discovered her husband's "secret life."

ET has obtained the declaration from Stephen Collins' wife of 27 years, Faye Grant. The document, which was filed as part of their divorce proceedings, includes claims that she discovered the 7th Heaven actor had been having inappropriate sexual relations with children.

According to the document, the couple separated in 2012 after Grant allegedly learned "for the first time that Stephen had been living a secret life." The declaration claims, in the presence of a therapist, Collins admitted that he had "engaged in a long term pattern of sexually abusing minor children, including sexually molesting three young girls over a decade ago."

We're told her lawyer advised her it was legal to secretly record the conversation because in California you're allowed to secretly record conversations to gather evidence the other person committed a violent felony

Over here it's illegal to record someone without their knowledge, and such material cannot be used as "evidence" in Court since it has no legal value.

Everyone just calm down and relax. TMZ is all over this, they will let us know what's going on, because ya know, they know everything.

LOL, they do get a few things right every now and then...

Let's remember the National Enquirer got a Pulitzer nomination because of the John Edwards affair and love child.

Whew! For a moment I was scared you were going to tell me he was obese.

I've had a crush on him for a long time, now I know I'm definitively NOT his kind...

""Los Angeles police responded to the home of actor Stephen Collins, who played the father on "7th Heaven,” after neighbors reported hearing a single gunshot Tuesday night.

But when they entered, no one was home, police told The Times.

The LAPD said earlier in the day that it was reviewing an investigation into the actor after sexual abuse allegations surfaced Tuesday.

LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith said the department opened its case after receiving information "regarding allegations of criminal behavior" involving the actor in 2012. But no crime report was ever made and no victim was verified, he said.""

Interesting how she recorded him at the therapist office without him knowing.

Per the article, it's apparently legal in CA to record someone to gather evidence that he committed a violent felony. In many states, it's legal to record a conversation if one person in the conversation consents to the recording.

There's an entire "industry" based on finding out other people's "dirty laundry", and if you get caught giving it to the cops to get out of trouble.

Let's see if a young man gets caught escorting by the local police he could tell the DA:

"May I tell you about a pedophile with a lot of kitty porno in his computer? That might look great when you run for reelection".

The small fish, denounces the big fish and goes back to his every day life.

His attorney suggests that Faye Grant, Stephen’s wife, has been threatening to release the tape if she wasn’t awarded more money in their divorce proceedings. If true, could she be charged with extortion? If she was aware of his admission to the crime and did not immediately alert authorities (the recording allegedly took place over three years ago), could she be charged with not reporting a crime?

Same here EXCEPT if it done to verify a crime. Police were involved also.
