Last time I stayed in Barcelona in January, I paid 75 euro per night in a very comfortable hotel, now in January it's 110 euro per night. I wonder why the prices this year specifically have skyrocketed like that. This is part of it as of this past April 1st... "Barcelona will double its hotel tourist tax as local authorities attempt to rein in over-tourism and ease housing pressure. Visitors will now pay between €10 and €15 per person, per night, depending on hotel category, up from €5 to €7.50. Stay three nights in a high-end hotel as a couple, and you could add €90 to your bill before you’ve ordered a single Negroni. Short-term rentals like Airbnb are also hit, rising to €12.50 per night. A quarter of the revenue will go toward addressing the city’s housing crisis, after locals took to the streets last year to protest mass tourism. Europe’s favourite city break just became a little more expensive." I would head to Madrid at this point in a heartbeat. A great collection of providers there and relatively affordable compared to other major cities in the World.

I often go to Europe. I also often stay in Brazil, where the exchange rate to the USD is roughly 5 -1 or 20eents for one Brazilian dollar (real). Nonetheless, the hotels I use (Marriott) are around $300. That is 1,500 Brazilian dollars (reais). Travel in most countries has become overpriced. To make matters worse, starting last month, non-Europeans from Schengen countries must now have their fingerprints and photo taken on arrival. Barcelona is fun, but the overpriced hotels, the new law, and the long lines on arrival to get photographed and fingerprinted take away a lot of the fun.

The system officially began a progressive rollout on October 12, 2025 and became fully operational across all external Schengen borders on April 10, 2026

You must stay at nicer hotels than I do, LOL. I checked out prices for the month of June at the hotel I stayed at in early October (250€/night) and late November (150€/night) last year. Some days are crazy, 400€+, but about half the nights were more than 300€, half less than, with a low of 217€. It’s a nice 4* right next to La Sagrada Família with modern, spotless rooms. That said, I would avoid Barcelona in the summer because it’s just too hot & humid* whereas winter, if you can call it that, in Barcelona is beautifully mild. * Says the guy living in Manila where it’s 95 degrees with 80% humidity every day. thomas and + tassojunior 1 1

+ tassojunior Posted May 25 Posted May 25 (edited) I gave up and going straight to Madrid for my flight home. Will miss seeing Andrei from Columbia again. But others may want to think of staying at the gay Sitges beach and taking the short train into town. Its much cheaper. It also has one of the world's largest gay prides. gwgrad Posted May 29 Posted May 29 This forum is so helpful. I'm planning to go end of June - tacked on to trip elsewhere. One question I don't think I've seen asked is, on what people would call a good or busy day in terms of providers, how many clients are also there? I honestly don't have a sense of what the ratio typically would be on a busy day. Also: it seems that even the cabins are private? Any action in public being intentionally so? Feel free to PM

Feel free to PM I’d say 20-30 clients max (just an estimate) on a “busy day”. And around 30-40 providers. Not much opportunity for public action - and I think the providers probably prefer it that way. They may kiss you or let you touch them, or e.g. you may play a bit in the dry sauna. gwgrad and + Vegas_Millennial 2
andrewlawrence Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Can the escorts in Thermas sauna look as muscular as some you find on rent.men or Hunqz? such as those, https://rent.men/ThiagoBloom https://rent.men/Cuban_xl https://rent.men/Zubin_PZ Thanks in advance! polysome 1

They absolutely can. I find that the physique of Zubin_PZ is the most represented whereas ThiagoBloom's physique is more rare. Guys at the sauna lean more towards lean and muscular, kind of like professional soccer players or swimmers, though there are certainly muscle guys too, they're just less represented. andrewlawrence 1

polysome Posted June 20 Posted June 20 9 hours ago, andrewlawrence said: can you or anyone help, what are usually the busy days? is it thursday or friday or weekends? Saturday is the busiest by far. Then Friday. Wednesday was historically busy (given the reduced rate) but it's practically the same as Thursday. Sunday is not usually a good day for hiring as there's a party and I know a few of the favorites don't like going there. thomas, andrewlawrence and BSR 1 1 1

Remember that the chaperos all have to pay the entry fee, no discounts or freebies. Well, they get the same discount everybody gets on Wednesday, which is why business “booms” midweek. If the only day(s) you can go are Sun, Mon, Tue, don’t despair. I’ve gone all 3 “dead” days and still had a good time. While the Sauna is noticeably slower those days, it’s far from dead: fewer chaperos, yes, but also fewer clients to compete against. + Vegas_Millennial 1
thatsjhonmanuel Posted Friday at 11:45 AM Posted Friday at 11:45 AM Just don't visit during holidays or events, it's a hit or miss. I have not been here for a while but it seems some guys already left. I went on the 23rd June, which Eve of San Joan so there is literally five providers there. Lol. But I end up with a new favorite guy named Mario says he's from Romania. Hot body and striking face. Like that man is working, lol. I enjoyed my time with him. Funny thing on Wednesday there are more visitors that you get confused who are the providers unless they really offer it. I end up hooking up with two visitors from US. I tried coming in Thursday but I came in 6pm, Andrey from Colombia is already leaving. Hooked up with another Colombian named Alexandro who has a hot body but terrible didn't tell me he prefers to bottom. And Alejandro from DR which is okay. So my 3 day stint is kinda disappointing except for new client favorite Mario. Wolfer 1
