Hey Guys!

I have a great client coming to LA this weekend and engaging my wonderful new hot Man of the Moment, Antonio, for the evening. He asked me if I knew of any good restaurants -- casual but fun, with great food -- and any other fun things he might like to do in WeHo/Bev Hills (that is --outside of the hotel room, of course -- LOL).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to call, text or e-mail anytime. Thanks -- as always! You guys are the BEST!

SINcerely,

Cafe D'Etoile is a quiet little place on Santa Monica near The Abbey. Been there a long time...food consistently good...what would be deemed a "neighborhood place", with a very gay, attractive clientele.

Hey Dave...Another vote for: Dan Tana's and Cafe D'etoile and SUR

1. Dan Tana's...Old school fun.

2. Cafe D'etoile....Skynyc is spot on. Attractive clientele, Good food, the owners are there every nite, and great service, and only a block or so away from Mikey's and Rage. You can sit out front, and see an endless parade of beautiful men walk by.

3. The Palm Restuarant West Hollywood...."My Fav" great food, great service, great staff, great place to see who's who.

4. Cafe Med....On the Sunset strip in the heart of everything, great food etc. but a little subdued.

5. Sur...Fun, good food, great crowd

Good Luck Dave....

SUR and Villa Blanca, both owned by reality show personality Lisa Vanderpump are strictly for the tourists now. buses pull up to each location and unload folks on tours. it's all very machine like and tacky

whoever mentioned Cecconis gets a gold star. their london location is one of my favorites and the west hollywood location is also very good

I always enjoy motoring up to Malibu along the coast road on a Sunday morning for "brunch" at Geoffrey's.

Wow...I remember what seems like only yesterday, your first post on motoring up the "coast road" with your friend to dine at Geoffrey's at sunset. It was a wonderful visual.

The only problem with Cecconis is that it is really, really expensive for what you get.

Yeah, Sunday morning is the only time the coast road is actually a good drive with all the construction between Santa Monica and Malibu.

Am I just being difficult, but shouldn't

a professional with nationwide clientele be a little more familiar with the locations where he is providing men? I'm all about networking, but if I were to hire someone through an agency, I'd be less than thrilled for that agency to identify the time, place and escort, and then ask publicaly for dinner recommendations. Where is the discretion in that?

this

every great escort I've seen for extended visits is always prepped with activity ideas, reservations if needed and general travel knowledge to make our time as easy on me as possible. agency or not, this should be something every good escort comes prepared with.

HA!....the client is the host for this meeting, not Antonio!!.....he is only asking Dave for hints on a place to eat in a probably unfamiliar-to-him city.....

wow, you guys take all this so seriously.....Dave does not live in LA and his job is arranging meetings with other dudes, not reviewing restaurants.....

Even when you have your own ideas about restaurants in LA, it doesn't hurt to reach out and get some inputs from others. Being that the readership here is mostly gay, we presumably are in-the-know of the latest fun, hip trends. No need to be so harsh on Dave! He is a class act!

Exactly azdr..I think the argument went off track.

I agree....and everytime an escort has come into town for a hire, they have asked me where I would like to eat. I think this is proper. I'm paying, it should be my choice where I want to eat, and how much I want to spend, and what kind of dining experience I would like.

AND....yes, dave is a class act. I see nothing wrong with asking for advice.

As long as they don't unload next Wednesday. "Pinky" will be down in the Desert getting honored on The Palm Springs Walk of Stars.

As an English girl, going there, it's so kind of different and quaint., she said. But also being a huge advocate of the gay community, I love the way Palm Springs embraces the LGBT community and I think LGBT youth can go down there and they can feel safe down there. That is so awesome these days with what goes on in the world.

Sounds like she's angling for an invite to the next Palm Springs Weekend. http://www.boytoy.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif

Pinky...HA! That's funny. I'm not a huge fan of Pinky, though the name of her new digs in WEHO, "Pump" is fairly clever. I would rather go to Sur and have Guillermo serve me dinner. ;)

But where is the indiscretion in what Dave did? The information he disclosed gives away essentially nothing about the client's identity. A client is hiring in LA this weekend. LA is a city of 13 million; that doesn't really narrow things down. Antonio's face is not shown on the man2man website, so that doesn't compromise the client's identity either. I think it's nice that Dave is going the extra mile for a client. I do expect Dave to hook me up with a compatible escort; I don't expect concierge services. But it says a lot (all positive) about him that he's making the extra effort.

I'm seeing this as discretion works both ways. You can identify me as hiring an escort and going to dinner at xxx, or you can identify the escort who will be at xxx on Saturday night. If I were Dave I would try to keep the activities of the guys who hire men from his stable a bit more private. I think he could have gotten the same information from the board without trying to, in my opinion, trying to boost his business/prestige/whatever by compromising some information that his client may not welcome. I'm just sayin ...
