Any thoughts or feedback about adam4adam escorts? Just wondering if those guys are legit and worth trying. Hardly any of them are on Daddy Reviews or Rentboy so i'm just curious if anyone has had any luck....especially L.A. guys

I have hired two masseurs from a4a. One was an OK experience - - decent massage, but no personality. The other I've seen five times! I have also attempted to hire two others from a4a with no responses to my inquiries from either. So it is probably hit or miss.

I've done alright by A4A but my tastes tend to run towards black guys and there seems to be waaaay more of them on A4A than RentBoy/Men. I'm guessing I'm about 80/20 Good/Notsogood.

There's definitely some overlap where I live, by which I mean some of the same guys advertising on A4A also have an ad on one or both of the main masseur websites or escort websites. I generally go for the guys who have a presence on more that one site. What I really don't like on A4A is guys who don't list themselves as escorts or masseurs initiating contact with me and then suggesting that I pay to meet them. Well, maybe I would welcome that if the guy was really hot but generally it's guys I don't find particularly attractive who just happen to be much younger than me.

My own experience matches others here -- most of the ones I considered hiring ran up so many red flags, I passed. One was legit... and I do know 2 other masseurs who advertise there but they also advertise on Masseurfinder and MassageM4M so they too were legit. Stopped even looking at adam4adam some time ago.

I look at the listings on a4a, New York sometimes. The eye candy is nice - I do like black and latin escorts. Many of the pictures on a4a in NY are heavily photo shopped, showing elephantine cocks and obviously fake pictures that are used interchangeably by several of the escorts. I find it entertaining looking at these profiles but have only hired 3 masseurs through a4a so far. One was a Las Vegas guy visiting (he is no longer in business), one guy was totally fake (I walked out) and 1 guy named 'uncutnbeautiful' was decent.

I used to hear stories about clients being robbed by a4a escorts during outcalls, but not recently.

I'll echo what BaronArtz and adriano46 have stated. On A4A I mostly see ads for decent traveling guys who also advertise elsewhere, but most of the ads are like "the worst of Backpage"

But in general it seems to me the quality of guys who advertise on there has gone down over the last 5 years.

Actually, I feel that the amount of quality escorts has gone down dramatically since I started hiring 15 years ago. Sure, there are still some great quality guys on here and other sites, but there seemed to be a lot more of them back then. I started a thread about this a couple of years ago.

If I remember correctly, A4A began way back as a more urban social site, and the escort/masseur postings seem to reflect that more than do the social profiles.

A very high percentage of the escort/masseur profiles, especially those of color but also some of the white ones, that show particularly hot young men are using borrowed pics, as googling them will show in an instant. There is also sometimes a serious mismatch between the physique you see and the stats posted, which is a dead giveaway. One or both of these is also true of a great many of the visitors who post on A4A, some of whom can also be found on backpage, which should tell you something about them. There is also a fair number who post from a Manhattan neighborhood but in fact offer in calls only in Brooklyn, Jersey or the Bronx, if they offer incalls at all.

As one poster already said, there are a number of those listed on A4A who are "legitimate" and also post on rentboy or rentmen or massagem4m or masseurfinder (even J.R. Bronson has a post on A4A). A4A provides a channel for communicating with them if you can't or don't want to use a phone for some reason. And some will have face pics on A4A but not on the other site(s).

All that being said, it can be a fun place to look at eye candy, and if you're selective and careful you can have luck. My recent experience with A4A included a gorgeously muscular young versatile, friendly and fun escort offering an incall in upper Manhattan for well under the going rate and a similarly gorgeously muscular straight but gay friendly masseur who provided a very, very good legitimate massage and a delightful ending, neither of whom was advertising anywhere else. (The escort now advertises on rentboy -- he didn't know about the site until I told him. His ad there doesn't state a price, but I imagine he's figured out he had been way underpriced.) You sometime will bump into quality guys just getting started in the business who either don't know about the "mainstream" escort/masseur listings or can't yet afford them, or prefer the flexibility of an A4A post, which can be taken up and down and moved from city to city with ease.

It's interesting that the escort knew about Adam4Adam but not Rentboy.

I have had exceptional results off Adam4Adam but usually not from advertised escorts. I have a fetish of approaching A4A guys of a certain profile with a question about whether they might be interested in older/generous. While the percentage of those expressing interest is low, the ones I have met have made the effort worthwhile.

That is exactly right, and something I forgot to mention in my earlier post. What I find most interesting on a4a is not so much the 'pro' section, but the possibility to interact immediately, through chat, with a number of other a4a members. I have had much more luck recruiting the 'non-pro' escort, i.e. the guy who can occasionally be persuaded to engage with you for a modest fee. Speaking from my experiences on a4a New York, I have found Equinox trainers, Madison Ave sales people, graduate students, aspiring musicians - all struggling to make it. This city is filled to the rafters with young gay men eager to make their mark, so to speak. You need to be tactful in your approach, establish a form of rapport and then suggest that you can be 'generous' ... it doesn't work all the time, but it is all worth the effort. A recent find was a Columbia U grad student, tall and athletic, who would come over, strip naked, jerked himself off, then jerked me off - for $40. I had another guy, in his low 30s come over, clean my apartment while naked, did the laundry, ironed the shirts to perfection, let me fuck him - for $60. Believe me, these gems are out there. You just got to find them!

That's all good if everyone is happy in the end. However a fair warning needs to be issued if you're soliciting with business proposal or about to hire an 'unknown entity'. Undercover agents with fake profiles and sting operations do happen in chat rooms, on Backpage and on the now defunct Craigslist's erotic section, to name a few ...

Buyer beware.
