Thursday, Oct. 30th get together, it will be at Numbers and starts around 7:30 (and goes 'till at least 10:30). All are welcome to join, anytime in the evening.

Scheduled to appear: Funseeker, to regale us with tales of Rio. It should be a small group, so if you've been interested but shy come on by, it's fun.

Numbers is at 8741 Santa Monica BLVD, above the Coffee Bean in West Hollywood. Parking is usually pretty easy at the public lot across from the magazine stand on the west side of the building, bring quarters. There's also valet.

People start gathering outside around 7 (usually the only gathering of more then 3 at the outside tables), we wander inside about 8 and SIT AT THE LONG TABLE IN BACK , other side of the wall from the restrooms, across from the windows, the only long table in the place... Don't be shy, jump in! Tony, the owner, knows the name Hooville if you have to make sure...

If I don't already know you're coming email me at JamesK840@hotmail.com so we have an idea of numbers for Numbers.

With all the fires (and attendant road closings) in the area, it may be difficult for people to get to this one.

I'll try, as usual. I may be on the lam by then anyway if the Simi Valley fire goes the wrong direction. :-( (Got the bag packed and the cat carriers ready to go, which the cats were of course not pleased to see.)

By Thursday, I may actually be *happy* to run down to Weho. :)

Yep, good-old California. The freeway signs mentioned that 118 was closed at DeSoto, was that due to the fire???

Well, can't imagine it still going strong by Thursday... I guess we'll see. Deej, I hope you make it through unscathed and that we see you at the meeting!

There's one in Simi valley that has the 23 closed, probably also the 118 closure I mentioned. They've been fast moving, but I can't imagine it getting anywhere near that far east. The main ones look to be in San Bernardino and Ventura counties.

There's good info on http://www.latimes.com But you may have to register (free, though I wouldn't put in your real phone number, newspaper sales calls can be damned annoying) to access it.

Here's a map, it may not work if you're not registered.

Don't bother with the local TV stations' websites for coverage, you know how they are. There should be CNN and other coverage on the web.

But don't get too worked up, there's nothing you could do even if you were here, and they'll hopefully have it corralled within a day or two. In the meantime it's something to see, all the ash, the sky, the sunset, but there are far better things to see where you're at! Have fun!

Thanks for the fast update buddy. Yeah, guess my buildings are clear for now. Been having fun playing catch on here with Axebahia. He escaped his cage again tonight and I had to round him up. Great Fun. Some people won't recognize fire with fire, but it's the price you pay when getting rid of pests. Things down here are so cool. Very laid back and sensual if you know what I mean. Playing pin the tail on the rat was a nice diversion. See you in a few weeks.:p

You realize you're diverting yourself from being surrounded by beautiful boys with a flame war on the internet?? Have you heard the old Klingon proverb, "Arguing on the Internet is like participating in the special Olympics, even if you win..."? :+

Have fun down there, can't wait for your next post in the South of the Border forum, and Funseeker's first-hand (dick?) account of the action at the get-together Thursday. See, trying to turn the thread back to the posted subject... :D

Hmmh, I wonder if the Brazilian tourism ministry will hire you to do ads for them if a litle thread asking escorts if they like clients to shave their balls can get you all fired up.

>Tell me are my buildings on fire?

Probably not. But a quarter million acres from Moorepark to San Diego have burned/are burning.

The 118 is closed and is being used as a fire block to keep the fire out of a neighborhood in Simi. Santa Ana winds are making things worse, but have been far weaker than they could've been.

Fire crews no longer talk about percent contained. NONE of it is contained. They're focused on structure protection.

This is gonna go on for weeks so it'll still be here when you get home. Just be prepared for delays. The air traffic control center in San Diego was evacuated so the airlines who are even *trying* to fly into LAX are running at about 50% capacity. Southwest has cancelled all flights into the area.

There was a spot fire in Malibu that had news people nattering about the Malibu Canyon fire of 10 years ago, but that was jumped on and put out VERY quickly.

Having a wonderful time. Wish you were here. :+

Interrogate Super SLut

James and all,

The new superslut of RIO, funseeker should be there. Do not let him give any lame excuse about not coming and if necessary, pick him up and force him. It will take him all evening to recount just the beautys he had in his last four hours in RIO. This man went crazy! At the soiree, Tomcal had to take an oxygen break trying to keep up. It was fun watching The funster have so much fun.

I myself have come down with a nasty dose of Bronchitis and unhappily wile away the hours in the hotel with plenty of liquids and the wonderful chicken rice soup from the hotel's kitchen. Last night I slept 10 hours and this morning I am hoping the corner has been turned. Our resident group doctor told me what to buy at the drogeria yesterday and hopefully it is having an effect.

Wish I could join you guys tomorrow.

Have a good time debriefing (and/or depantsing ) funseeker.

RE: Interrogate Super SLut

>James and all,

"That was because he stole my favorite massage sauna boy who must have turned him into jello. Actually Apollo had physically picked Jackhammer up the day before at his prior massage. Didn`t throw him around the room though as he should have done. This was not an easy task for a boy who is 26 and around 5.8 with a 190lb beautifully muscled body and ultra strong hands. The remaining package has all of the typical Rio attributes too.

Ah Well, I digress. I expect to be at the meeting tomorrow and can give you some details. Not sure I can talk about Lil` Jacks B`Day Bash though without prior permission from his master?

Came back today to find out that my area was evacuated last Monday but then fortunately for me the wind changed direction. Now I just felt an earthquake -I`m guessing around a 3.4

Get me outta here and back to Rio- Land of Smiles by everyone.

"To all who fell for this self pity -put away the Kleenex since this suite also has a large whirlpool jacuzzi bathtub and it`s own dry sauna". It`s a tough life !!!

P.S. I anticipate being there right at 7pm and won`t be staying real late. Too much late night socialization at Jabba`s wears you down or up.

Maybe 11/20 for the next one...

Alas, no. But we still had quite a bit of fun and enjoyed Funseeker's stories of RIO.

We are thinking about the third Thursday in Novemeber, the 20th, for our next regular meeting. Maybe another weekend thing between now and then as well, we'll see.

Hope everything went well at your thing, did you make it back to WeHo, have any fun?

Yes, the conference was great. Unfortunately, I was too tired after listening to presentations all day for any extra-curricular trips. Sigh. :)

Thanks again for your hospitality.
