Not only would love to see more….but Judy didn't even crack a smile. Think when she went back to chambers she jumped onto her computer?

She figured out what was going on pretty quick. She let the kid keep the money, although she didn't think very highly of him. I've seen her do the same thing with older guys and younger women.

Although she doesn't care much for younger hustling older, she figures the older guys know what they're getting into, so to speak, and usually calls bullshit on its being a 'loan'.

I can never figure out what possesses someone to go on Judge Judy for cases like these.

Or for most other cases, for that matter. Her staff must do a terrific job convincing them she won't embarrass them, even though that's how she makes her living. Over the years, I've seen very few folks walk off the show.

I wonder how long Joan Rivers would last. http://www.boytoy.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif

For the appearance fee. Usually these cases are culled from Small Claims Court filings and the litigants are enticed to appear on the judge shows because their appearance fee exceeds the potential damage settlement, in other words, if you lose, the show pays your penalty and you still get some cash...

I've heard a $2,000 suit carries a $5,000 appearance fee so that the winner gets $4,000 and the loser gets $1,000. If it's a dead even case, they both walk with $2,500.

And don't feel sorry for the show, Judge Judy has become a multi-millionaire doing this gig.

Mid last year I read where Judge Judy receive $150,000 per episode. That's scandalous! [i still view her show whenever I desire, though, like it but not the manner in which she ridicules some of the folks who appear in some of her cases!]

Judge Judy is an ageist. 23 year difference is quite a bit but I have non-sexual friends who are over 20 years younger than I. Agree with her that this is probably not the care here, but still, that presumption is hers. It is a good one, but still only that, a presumption.
