...who goes under the knife in just a bit for some reconstructive surgery this morning.

Since March of 2013, Prof has gone from about 620 to 243 as of today.

Best wishes, sir. It's been a lot of work and you should be proud of yourself.

Absolutely fantastic. As physician I see too many overweight people who have given up trying to lose the weight. Bravo, bravo to someone who has taken control of his life.

Safe wishes for the last step!

Thanks to Chris for sharing this great information.

I had to reread this to make sure I hadn't misread. Nearly 400 pounds. Wow.

Best wishes for the reconstructive surgery. Prof Mitch, I'm sure you'll look amazing when you're done. Brace yourself for lots of attention from your new suitors.

Wowzers! Congrats, Mr. Professor! I knew you were fighting the fight, but didn't know how much of a warrior-victor you are.

This man is a scholar, yet a humble gentleman, and mighty fine dinner company too.

With my very best wishes......jjt

I am in total awe of Prof's achievement! It takes so much dedication, will power, and positive energy but you did it guy and have left an lesson in life to all those who have been fortunate enough to personally meet you and those of use that wish they could. Congratulations is such a small word when recognizing your major achievment.

Best wishes now and forever!

Great to read that you are home and doing well, Professor. I wish you many healthy, happy years to enjoy and be proud of the new you. You're a true inspiration to people who think that what they want to change in their own lives is too big or too hard to fix.
