Travel guide in Palm Springs

I will be visiting Palm Springs for the first time in July. I plan to stay at the Triangle Inn based on good feedback from this message board. Any suggestions on how to find a gay travel guide for a day to show me the sights? I will be hiring an escort and/masseur while visiting, but really would like someone else just to show me around. I'm willing to pay for a guide's time - don't want to spend $1000.0 or more for an escort's time. PM me if you want.

What sort of sights are you interested in? Gay places? Campy old Hollywood? Cultural? Nature? Rugged outdoor exercise? There is a lot of stuff here for only one day.

The tram is a wonderful experience, going from the desert to an alpine environment in just a few minutes--and it's cool at the top!; if you like mid-century modern architecture, there are self-guided tours to see exceptional buildings; the Sunnylands visitor's center is worth a trip to Rancho Mirage; I was there last week--had dinner alone one night at Lulu's California Bistro and sat at the bar, and another night with friends at Tropicale, which has a wonderful outdoor dining area.

 

I'd recommend you just go and get recommendations while you're there; you'll have a great time.

I don't quite think Palm Springs is complicated enough to need a guide to show you around.....

Just an overall tour - tramway, shopping, architecture - galleries - not too interested in bars.

Most of those attractions are going to be in one pretty concentrated area--downtown; Google "Palm Springs Travel Guide" and you will find good links to additional information; you'll have a great time!

Definitely do the tram, especially since you're visiting in July and it will be very hot on the desert floor and much cooler up the mountain.
