So you hand the envelope or the folded money to the escort or masseur and say goodbye. Few minutes later the escort or masseur is knocking on your door telling you the amount you gave him is short. Since the money was never counted with both parties present what do you do? Even if this has never happened to you, what would you do?

It would depend on how much he claimed was missing, and it would depend on who the escort was. If it was someone that I trusted and the amount was under 100 dollars, I would let him know that I had counted at home and that I was sure the amount was correct, but to avoid a argument I would give him the amount that was missing. If it was a first time hire or someone I was unsure of, I would tell them that the amount was correct and I would not give them anymore money.

FWIW I count all the money at least 3 times at home, and then again before I hand it to them, and as I turn over the amount I verbally say how much I am giving them. So I have never had a problem. Interesting problem Travis, if this happened to you, I am curious how you ended up handling it.

BVB - Has not happened to me as I ask them to count it before they leave to make sure it's correct. I have heard of some guys who do do it as a scam to get extra money. That's the reason I ask them to count it before they leave. I know everything is fine. I ask the question because of the many people who use the envelope system or just slip it in the pocket and who would be offended if the person counted it in front of them.

I too count, and recount the money three or more times before the escort(s) arrive to make sure it is correct. It is always carefully placed in an envelope with his/their name on it. Only once, maybe over 15 years ago, I made an error in Amsterdam (due to currency change). The escort called me the next day (he left late at night), and haltingly explained it. I checked my wallet and saw that - in fact - I had more cash in it than I should and knew he was telling the truth. We met later that evening, I repaid him what I was missing (about $50), took him to a nice dinner - and we were having such a great time ended up hiring him for 4 days on and off and until today we are good friends even though he retired a long time ago.

I wouldn't hear him as I'd be on my way to the movies. http://www.boytoy.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif

Why all the drama with an inscribed envelope? This isn't the Academy Awards.

I really like this idea and will probably start using it. Thanks!

Ai yi yi. If this is really a concern, have the bills fanned out on the nightstand when he arrives, so the total amount is plainly visible to all.

Well... to clarify - I have the money fanned out openly in the envelope if it is one guy. (I learned to be polite....and put it in an envelope) ;-)

If I have 3 or 4 (as has happened occasionally) they are not all coming into the session asking for the same amount of $$$ and the money in a closed envelope with name on it keeps this confidential. It's up to them after they leave if they want to play "show and tell".

This does not need to be so complicated. I give them the wad of cash right after we finish fucking, as I am wiping off and putting my clothes back on. That gives them some time to count it, if they wish, before I leave. Never had a problem. Not with the payment at least.

I would probably laugh in his face and shut door. No, seriously, I'm not very good at hypotheticals that will probably never happen to me. There are so many variables in your scenario. Did the encounter go well? Was it a first time hire? Did you know the escort well? All would have to factor in before I could possibly come up with an answer to "what would you do?"

I also think it more likely that the escort would text you before coming back and knocking on your door ....

I am not at all uncomfortable with the exchange of money with an escort. In as much as I'm only seeing my favorite, most trusted guys, I usually pay them up front. I hand them the cash and ask them to count it. For me, it gets the payment out of the way so we can get on to more enjoyable things. Of course, I don't recommend this for a first time hire or an escort that you don't trust completely.. but I've never had a problem.

Just a question but ... if they're your most "trusted, favorite guys" why would you need/require them to count the money in front of you?

In case I made a mistake. It's a personal thing with me, but, if I shorted him like $20.. he wouldn't say anything. I just like knowing that the money is right.

  • 3 years later...
It has been noted multiples times (e.g. on the spa thread) that masseurs and escorts never count the cash handed over to them. Even on a first meet.

I m not sure if it is because the working guy assesses that the awkwardness of counting money is not worth the small chance that the client can't be trusted, or some other reason (I'd love escorts to comment on that if they want to).

In the US, given that all banknotes are the same size, some despicable client could hand over of pile of 12 banknotes: The top one and last one could be $20, while all the other ones hidden beneath could be $1 notes. It would look the same unless you open the pile.

So instead of paying you $240, you'd get $50!

Or some other scam could happen.

For an incall, do you check as soon as the client has left, as the door closes, so that you can still catch him in the street? Or it is so unlikely, that you can't be bothered?

Obviously for an outcall at the client's place it would not a problem, the client would know that you are going to just go back and make a scene, so he wouldn't even try.

Anyone want to share bad experiences?

When we talk about flakiness and beyond I stand on the working guys point of view... but in this case @Tarte Gogo you've inspired me to bring back up this thread about escorts chasing clients down the hall asking for "missing money" we counted multiple times.
